NEMO Science Center - Amsterdam, Holland [HD]
NEMO is the largest science center in the Netherlands, consisting of five floors.
It is located in Amsterdam right next to the central station and the Maritime Museum (now closed due to renovation), above the IJtunnel. It opened in 1997.
The architecture is by Renzo Piano, a world renowned Italian architect and recipient of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, AIA Gold Medal, Kyoto Prize and the Sonning Prize.

The grand, ship-like, green building dominating the IJ Tunnel is known as NEMO. It happens to be the largest science center in the Netherlands and is definitely worth a visit for every inquisitive mind, no matter how young or old.
History of NEMO
The roots of this science center can be traced back to the year 1923 with the founding of the Labour Museum. Its name was later changed to NINT in 1954, and then to newMetropolis in 1997. In the year 2000, the building was christened with its current name 'Science Center NEMO'.

We had recently stayed in Amsterdam for 4 days. Trying out loads of the city's attractions. Nemo was one of the tourist attractions that was included in our I AMsterdam pass.
The science museum is literally the best museum we have seen. Everything is so interactive and there are loads to see. Our issue was that is was packed.
