Nabana no Sato (なばなの里) is a botanical garden/theme park in Kuwana City, in Mie prefecture (Tokai Region). People from all around the world come to see the large variety of flowers and vegetation. But what really makes this place so popular within visitors is its illuminating installations.
Nabana No Sato can be reached in 50 minutes by using the JR or Kintetsu Line from Tsu Station, or in 30 minutes from Nagoya Station. From Nagashima Station, there is a shuttle bus for the illumination event for 220 yen per person.

Trip to Japan's Nabana No Sato 2017-2018
Japan is one of my favorite country .
Every time I am here, I get to see and experience something .unique and unusual .
I was looking for something different again, and this time I got to know know about Nabana No Sato, which claims to have one of the biggest and best illumination displays in all of Japan.
Japan doesn’t hold back when it comes to lights and Nabana no Sato is no exception. The park is illuminated with around 7 million LED lights, which turn it into a winter wonderland straight out of a fairy tale.
Located close to Nagashima Spa Land, and easily reachable by express bus from Nagoya Bus Station or by train and bus, it is a great escape from the bustle of the big city.
The park is famous for its seasonal flowers throughout the year, and also hosts a flower festival in spring. This flower festival is also reputed to be one of the largest such festivals in Japan. From spring to summer, the park is home to a variety of flowers- Hydrangea, Tulips, Roses and Daffodils.
But the park perhaps attracts maximum visitors in the winter, when the park hosts a Winter Illumination event. The Winter illuminations are held from October to end of May every year .The illumination is one of the largest illumination events in Japan and as such attracts large crowds from all over the country.
Tickets are priced at 2,300yen for elementary school children and above during the winter illumination. The tickets also include vouchers for 1000 yen which can be used at the gift shops and food joints in the park.
Entrance to Begonia Garden, Onsen and the Island Fuji are charged separately.

One of the top things to do in Japan during winter is to see one of its many amazing illumination displays.The Nabana no Sato Winter Illumination is one of Japan's largest light festivals.The theme is “Japan” which shows the beauty of Japan to the scenery, history, culture and tradition. The main attraction is the Mt. Fuji, pride of Japan. One of the highlights is the 200-meter long light tunnel covered with warm lights,animated illumination wall, a flying observatory ride that soared 45 m above ground, it revolved 360degree. Experience warmly-lit wonderland in the chill of winter and experience their breathtaking winter Illumination.

Nagoya Station to Nabana no Sato 名古屋駅からなばなの里 | May 2017

We went to Nabana no Sato after a short rest at Nagoya Station. There were two options to go to Nabana no Sato from Nagoya Station: either by bus or train. We chose the bus.
Since we've come from the airport and we planned on leaving for Takayama in the afternoon that same day, what we did was we left our luggages from the available coin lockers around Nagoya Station. One big-sized locker fits 4 small-sized luggages.
At Nabana no Sato: Still lots of flowers around even though the winter illumination already ended (It ended just a week after we paid a visit). The entrance ticket also includes a 1,000 yen voucher so we used it for our lunch. As for the luxurious-looking and sumptuous meal we ate, we just added around 500 yen. All worth it!!!
