PUERTO PRINCESA TO NACPAN, EL NIDO
Van transfer from Puerto Princesa to El Nido took us ~7hrs!!! If you're not on a budget, I suggest booking a direct flight to El Nido. It stole a day from our schedule because of soooooo many delays! Nonetheless, it was an experience! Hahaha. Staying at our chosen hostel, MAD MONKEY HOSTEL, is a different story. You'll know more about it later on. This is Part 1 of our Palawan Adventure.
Mad Monkey photo used in the thumbnail is from their website.

Hello there. The vlog that you are about to see is the second part of a series of our El Nido Palawan trip this April 2017.
So here is the summary of our experience with Kevin JOhn
Transport going to El Nido.
Kevin John Transport
0916-442-5138 / 0908-607-1188
No need magpa reserve ng van online kasi pagkalabas mo ng Puerto Princesa airport, marami nang nakaabang dun to provide transportation service. We paid P1,000.00 (2 pax) sa El Mundo Rent a Car.
Good decision naman.
Kevin John Transport provided a complimentary bottled water before the trip. Dumaan din kami sa office nila before nagpa Elnido just in case may gustong gumamit ng comfort room.
May nadaanan din kami na checkpoint to see if may dala kami na manggang hilaw papunta ng Elnido ..bawal kasi.
Huwag kalimutan na magdala ng neck pillow, shades at shawl during your travel para komportable ka.
Sementado ang daan from Puerto Princesa to Elnido Town.
Magdala ng light snack or biscuit just in case magutom ka.
May stop over for lunch sa may Halfway Coffee Shop aand Restaurant along . We spent P235 for the ulam, rice at coke.
After lunch, inantok na ako so I tried sleeping.
So nag tricycle lang kami papunta ng hotel for 6 minutes and we paid P50.00.
So far, I recommend Kevin John Transport since the driver is mabait, at accomodating sa mga questions ko , although mabilis lang sya magdrive talaga. The van is clean din.

Philippines, El Nido: My 5 Recommendations When Looking for Accommodations (Part 1)
The most common way to get to El Nido, Palawan, is by taking a plane from Manila to Puerto Princesa, and then taking a van from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. It will take you a day, but it's the cheapest way to go. Another good option is to take a direct flight from Manila to El Nido.
Thank you for watching! **Now in HD**

Welcome To El Nido Palawan Where Wishes Are Fulfilled
VLOG 4: After a 6 hour van ride from Puerto Princesa, we arrived in El Nido Bay on a perfect beach day. All the boats had gone out for their snorkeling trips for the day, and everyone on the beach was walking around with big smiles on their faces.
But in true adventurous fashion, we arrive without a place to stay. Here's what we did to make sure we ended up staying in the best room on the beach, with the best view, and the best price that we could afford...

Food
Maraming choices pagdating sa food, iba iba bilihan for different budget. You can customize your meal depends on your budget and wants! ????
Nacpan (Optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Trip)
Accommodation:
Seaside Hue Resort
- Beachfront
- With complete facilities
Transportation
Rent a trike from El Nido: 1200 roundtrip
- Depends sa usapan niyo ng Trike driver, most likely magrerequest sila nng dagdag during rainy seasons kasi dirt road sa Nacpan so mahirap daan kapag trike so talagang make meet ends na lang with the driver and tamang haggle lang hehe.
Optional: Rent a van to Nacpan, maraming mga tours ang nag-ooffer ng roundtrip transfer to Nacpan from El Nido and vice versa pero around 700/person to 1000/person. It really depends sa makuha niyong contact.
Food
Pero out of everything, Ruby Restaurant ang the best when it comes to meal (lunch, dinner or breakfast if walang inclusion sa hotel) worth your money dito. ????
Fruit Shakes range around 120-180, it depends on the resto pero pinakamurang Fresh Buko Juice na nakita namin sa Seaside Hue at P60.
If night life naman, sa Mad Monkey Hostel, mejo sa dulo siya katabi ng Rangho’s (where you can see a big ice cream facade) — recommended for Vegan options, mej pricey nga lang and small serving pero Ruby Restaurant pa din talaga mga bes!
Nacpan has 4km wide stretch beach, tapos you can walk lang until you reach the Twin Beach, ang alam ko you can do a little hiking din to get a nice top view ng island.
Is it worth it?
YES. Sobra. Sa 1 week namin doon, sobrang worth it yung bakasyon at pahinga. Yes, we’re planning to go back para ma-try ‘yung Tour B/C/D and again, Nacpan! Babalik-balikan mo talaga. ☺️
Important things to remember:
* Bring water tumbler para you can always bring mineral water everywhere. ????
* Bring aqua shoes for your tours kahit yung mura lang sa lazada or shopee, no big deal for safety lang talaga. ????
* Bring chicha and buy na kayo ng water in gallons from PPS kasi pagdating niyo sa El Nido, doble presyo na yan. ????
* Relax. I chose to DIY this trip para hindi strict sa time and everything. Haha! ????
* Ikaw bahala sa trip mo! Nakapagsqueeze in pa kami ng movie time (Men in Black) habang nasa SM City PPS. Tapos tamang milktea lang at stroll around. Chill lang. ????
'Yun lang mga bes! Super late upload na 'to but I still want to share these memories with you! Tara, balik tayo sa El Nido!

El Nido Tour A - Palawan, Philippines Travel Vlog 3
El Nido is magical - no doubt about that. However, we didn't have the best experience while we were on the island. I guess it was a bad choice of tour package operator? Please watch our third day in Palawan, exploring El Nido and availing the Island Hopping Tour A.
so a little about the package tour we availed:
- van transport from Puerto Princesa and El Nido, vice versa (we have them picked us at Villa Saturnina since we had our DIY Island Hopping in Honda Bay)
- El Nido accommodation was at Overcomer
- free dinner at Izla Savor (a not so good dinner)
- free breakfast at Overcomer (a not so good breakfast as well)
- Island Hopping Tour A (Shimizu Island, 7 Commando Beach, Secret Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon) - the tour was hasty. We were supposed to end at 4PM but we went back to the mainland of El Nido at around 3PM. We were always fetched to come back to the boat when we still have a great time exploring the spots. I'm not sure if it's the boatman or if it's the other people who were with us in the boat. It sucks when you're being fused with other groups who are not in your age range or interest range. On a positive note though, we had the best lunch at Shimizu Island (still included on the package tour).
also included on the package tour but not on this vlog:
- Casa Mila Inn (our accommodation in Puerto Princesa)
- Underground River Tour
- buffet lunch at Gusto Grill (Sabang Wharf)

El Nido Palawan, Vacation 2015 Ellorin Family 6D 5N
El Nido, Palawan
March 15 – 20, 2015
6D 5N Tour
By: Ryan G. Rayond
Itinerant:
Ellorin Family (Emmanuel, Riyah, Rhynnuel Dai, Princess Emari)
Special Consideration:
On June 17, 1954, Republic Act No. 1140[15] was approved changing the name of the town from Bacuit to its present name El Nido after the edible nests of swiftlets (collocalia fuciphaga), found in the crevices of its limestone cliffs. These nests, nido in Spanish, the main ingredient for the gourmet nido soup, are being sold at approximately US$ 3,000 per kilogram. Because El Nido was quite remote from most of the inhabited islands in the Philippines, its pristine beauty was hidden to the world until 1979 when a sea accident happened in Bacuit Bay. As the story goes, a tuna line disabled a dive boat's propeller in the middle of the night forcing it to drop anchor in an inlet. The following morning, the divers woke up to an amazing scenery of skyscraping dark cliffs, thick green forest, white sand beach, sparkling water and, rising above it, a series of magnificently sculpted jade islands.
In 1983, a dive station was established in Miniloc Island by a group of divers who were on board the dive boat M/V Via Mare. In the same year, major tourism commenced in El Nido, when the Ten Knots Development Corporation, a Filipino-Japanese joint venture company, opened a divers' resort on Miniloc Island, and an airstrip (Lio Airport) at Villa Libertad on the mainland. In 1992, the company set up a second resort on Pangulasian Island, and in 1998, the third and largest Ten Knots resort on Lagen Island. The opening of the third resort coincided with the destruction of the Pangulasian Resort by fire. During this period several other tourism establishments were developed, paving the way for tourism to become a thriving economic sector.
El Nido is a showcase of the Philippines' geological and biological diversity. In recognition of the importance of its unique ecosystem, the Philippine government made the entire area of El Nido first to a turtle sanctuary in 1984, then to a marine reserve park in 1991, and finally in 1998, to that of a managed resource protected area.
Special Note:
Bank: Bring cash when traveling El Nido Palawan, there is no available Bank or ATM Machine in town. Electric power is from 2pm to 6 am only9before) 2015 as of today they already have 24 hours service of electricity. So make sure that your mobile phone, laptop or any electronic gadgets are charged at night time. There are some internet café in town. Last 2008 there is 2bar signal of 3G in the area.
Food: There are abundant fish in town, especially DAING this is a good gift to your family and friends. You can buy a fish and grilled it in the house for your dinner, you may also try oysters this is superb meal for dinner. The care taker will allow you to barrow kitchen apparatuses.
Language/Dialect: their main language is Tagalog.
Souvenir item: when I travel Palawan, they said it is much cheaper to buy souvenir items in Puerto Princesa airport rather than in wet market of Puerto Princesa.
Nature: Please avoid littering in the area. Make sure that all rubbish will place in the bin.
Always Pray, ask for guidance for your security and safety while travelling, and also for him to provide you a sunny weather on your travel. Good luck guys!!!
Special consideration about transportation:
Kuya Monding Transportation and Island hoping tour package (mobile number: 0975 258 4574)

El Nido DIY Budget Tour (Island Tour A)
Bes saan makakarating ang P5,000 mo?
(Where your P5,000 can bring you?)
El Nido DIY tour in 4 days and 3 nights
When you hear “El Nido, Palawan” the first thought that may come to your mind is “pang yayamanin lang! (for rich only)”.
I’m a travel vlogger but as a masteral student I travel on budget. I wanted to have this vacation before our class starts on August for my personal retreat. I asked different travel agencies for a tour quotation but their price is too expensive costing 10,000+ excluding airfare.
This may sound crazy but I challenged myself to have a DIY El Nido solo tour with P5,000 budget. I’m sharing this travel itinerary to guide you beshies if you’re planning for a vacation in El Nido on budget.
ITINERARY
Day 1
Travel to El nido = almost 12 hrs travel from Antipolo (car, airplane, van)
Day 2
Land tour = rented a scooter for land tour
*City tour
*4 hrs ride to Silbatan beach
As a rider, I really looked forward for this ride. If you don’t know how to ride a motorcycle you can rent a tricycle for a land tour but up to Nacpan beach only for P1000 - 1500 whole day.
If you don’t want a land tour you can choose Island tour A, B, or C for your day 2 (P1,200 - 1,500).
Day 3
Island tour A
*7 commando beach
*small lagoon
*big lagoon
*secret lagoon
It's not yet advisable for me to get into the salt water because of my skin sensitivity so I just stayed in the boat and enjoyed the majestic and amazing island view. You can do swimming, snorkeling, and kayak. Buffet lunch is included in the package.
Day 4
Travel back to Manila
If you have time you can have a short Puerto Princesa city tour before going to the airport.
BUDGET
AIRPLANE TICKET (Cebu Pacific)
Manila to PPS = 400 (Piso fare. Tyagaan lang bes)
PPS to Manila = Free because of my Getgo points (yay!)
HOTEL
Austria’s Guesthouse = 500 x 2 nights = 1000 (free breakfast)
Bunakidz travel lodge = 200 (1 night shared room)
*hostels/backpackers lodge is cheaper than hotels costing P1000+ per night
TRANSPORTATION
Pps airport to El Nido = 600 (Ceb Pac shuttle)
El Nido to PPS airport = 400 (regular van in El Nido terminal)
Scooter rental = 500 (good for 1 day)
ISLAND TOUR
TOUR A = 1,000 (got a discount from a local friend)
OTHERS
Food and Pasalubong = 900 (foods are quite expensive there)
TOTAL = P5,000
TRAVEL TIPS
*always ask and befriend the drivers they can guide you and give you big discounts.
*travel light but be filled with good memories and instagramable pictures.
*Palawan is a tourist friendly place. I’m amazed on how they organized the logistics of their major tourist spots. So don’t worry if you’re a first timer tourist.
It was my first time in El Nido but surely I’ll come back and explore more. Saan nakarating ang P5000 ko? Beshies it brought me to the one of the most beautiful beach in the world, El Nido Palawan.
