The best description of Bagan for me was: Two wheels, one buddy, and zero worries!
Entering in almost every Pagoda, Temple and Stupa we came across, some of them with beautiful architecture, some of them with stunning big Buddha statues, and some of them just dark, with no signs of human life around, and with a mysterious air (feeling like a Tomb Raider in these places??). Getting lost, eating new things, climbing hills and temples, making new friends on the way, this was definitely one of the most adventurous experience in the trip. I hope you enjoy the video!
Sometimes we seek something without realizing what is really important in life. If we didn't worry too much, we could realize that happiness can be found even in the smallest things

Biking Bagan, Myanmar
Bagan certainly is one of the highlight of our trip to Myanmar! Visitors can explore the ancient city by car, foot, horse cart, ox cart, or hot air balloon. But the best way to get away from everyone and see the remotest temples and ruins is by bicycle.
We've spent several days straining our leg muscles - and it's so worth it. Watch Bagan through our eyes and see the temple city come alive.
Bagan: the World Class Treasure of Myanmar, 2000 temples, some 800+ years old on 100 km2.
Bagan, were the temple density for the area about 100 km is likely the highest in the world , was visited by me just for 2 nights on the same day with Mt. Popa on the way from Mandalay to Yangon. Here 10,000+ Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries were constructed in Bagan plains in 11-th -13-th century, when from 1044 to 1287, Bagan was the capital of Pagan empire, where just on the area of about 100 km2 2000+ survived to the present day The Pagan Empire collapsed in 1287 due to repeated Mongol invasions (1277–1301). The city, once home to some 50,000 to 200,000 people, had been reduced to a small town never to regain its preeminence. Major Temples and Pagodas visited barefoot (as all Bhudist religious object in Myanmar) :
Bupaya Pagoda(pre-11th century)
Lawkananda Pagoda (pre-11th century)
Shwezigon Pagoda (11th century)
Dhammayazika Pagoda (1196)
Mingalazedi Pagoda ( started 1294)
Ananda Temple (started 1105 AD), 52 m tall, 1000 stone sculptures
Gawdawpalin Temple (1211-1235)
Thatbyinnyu Temple ,63 m tall (mid 12-th century)
Htilominlo Temple (1211-1231) and a few others.
