Duke's Nose (Nagphani) - Simul Climbing Project, India | 4Play
Partner in climb: Two of India's leading trad climbers, Rohit Vartak and Ganesh Geedh attempt to speed climb Duke's Nose. An iconic 300ft tall rock pillar that has become quite the test piece among Indian climbing community. Deciding upon bold and sketchy simul-climbing techniques the seasoned duo climb the vertical rock wall at a mind-boggling pace, sending the route in a little over 30 minutes. Possibly a first on Duke's Nose upper wall.

Trek to Nagphani | Dukes Nose Point (Khandala - Lonavala)
A group of young boys and girls expressing their love and gratitude towards nature summiting Nagphani and Dukes Nose Point, Khandala Lonavala.
The trip started from Khandala Railway station, with a walk towards Tata Power House and simply following the trail. Getting lost in the forest is always a ritual but relocating yourself and reaching the summit will prove your dedication towards climbing. There were mesmerizing waterfalls on route and we could find tribal civilization and cattle breeding midway.
Dukes Nose Point is a ridge and one need to be very careful while walking or clicking photos. There's a direct connection to Nagphani where one can find a temple of Lord Shiva with an amazing view of connecting roads.
A perfect monsoon trek with less difficulty and less endurance.

Duke's nose (nagphani) ⛺️ #Tracking# ⛺️....... @ Lonavala????
Dukes nose stands approximately 2350ft above sea level is a huge pinnacle seen while traveling from Mumbai to Pune. The sight from top is unique and magnificent as one sees a vast landscape and the winding Mumbai-Pune expressway cutting through the ghats and trains chugging along the tracks.
It's famous for rappelling, rock climbing and valley crossing activities. The event can be done even by first timers who are fit in general.
Why you should choose Dukes Nose?
Length : It doesn't get bigger than this. The rappelling legth here is 350ft which is one of the biggest you can get.
The traverse : The 1000ft cliff traverse is more exciting than the rappelling, once you rappel down you will be made to traverse alongside a cliff which is exposed on one side with 500ft of valley. All this while you are attached to a safety rope.
Hike : A one hour trek to the top is an experience in itself.
