It’s also known as the biggest entertainment district in Western Japan as well as Kitashinchi, Osaka and one of Japan’s 3 biggest entertainment district as Kabukicho, Shinjuku, Tokyo and Susukino, Hokkaido.
Did you know that 1/4 of yatai (food stalls) in Fukuoka are all in a place called Nakasu Yatai Yokocho?

Nakasu Island is an island between the Naka River and the Hakata River. It is the largest red-light district in western Japan.
Nakasu is home to many restaurants and adult entertainment establishments and comes alive after dark. There are many traditional yatai stalls (small, mobile food stalls) along the river.

Our last destination was Fukuoka.
Fukuoka was very different in comparison to the other places we had visited in Japan. It had a different vibe and was a lot more spread out.
We stayed in the city for 3 days and had a great time.
The water shows at Canal City are well worth seeing. I am a big One Piece fan, and to see the 'One Piece Water Spectacle' was an added bonus.
The city comes alive at night, especially the very strange (red light) area of Nakasu...

Cyberpunk Streets - Nakasu - Downtown Fukuoka - RANDOM JAPAN
Scenes from Nakasu. The central hub of all downtown fukuoka's nightlife. The scene and service systems at the bars and hostess clubs here are quite different to Tokyo. Which also makes for some excellent people watching.
Yes this could have been a minute in a 7D7M but I don't have time or the graphics card grunt to go wild with colour grading in the longer videos... And in general, I like to play around more with the creative side of things in the Random Japan vids.
What do you think of the look? It's an original work. I think it needs some tweaks, but it could be a nice LUT when I've cleaned it up a bit.

I'm happy that the global obsession for pretty-girl-in-costumes-metal and the otaku money machine they create ensure the bands can actually grow, and at least some Japanese metal can escape the quagmire of the local music industry. But sadly like with all trends. Bands that don't fit the bill or won't change to make the money happy, disappear.
Here's to good, well written, skillfully played female fronted music music that didn't dress up in stupid maid outfits to make otaku fap-money:

A look at the famous row of ramen street stalls called yatai, along the river in Nakasu, Fukuoka City, Japan. The ramen here, made with a thick pork soup broth called tonkotsu, is the pride of the city, and you will often notice the smell of the ramen long before you see them. These yatai are put up every day in late afternoon, and taken down late at night. 7 days a week. In Fukuoka there was a peak of yatai of 430 places in 1966, but today by law are restricted to just under 150.

Nakasu is the best downtown in western Japan. It is the central area of Hakata-ku, Fukuoka Prefecture. Nakasu at night is lined with delicious shops, so you can feel hungry just by walking. In addition, it has a beautiful face and is a city that attracts visitors.

Nakasu is a famous entertainment district in Japan. At night, the famous food stalls line up along the river and tourists visit. It is also a gourmet spot with hidden long-established shops and bars.
“Hakata toumyou lantern arts festival” is an event that arranges “Sentoumyou”, which has been passed down in Hakata for a long time, in a modern style, and a work called “Toumyou art”. This is a fantastic event that illuminates Hakata's night scenery in autumn with lots of lanterns. This year it was held on October 19th.
