Yangyang County (Yangyang-gun) is a county in Gangwon Province, South Korea. The county is located in the northeast of the country in Gangwon-do. Its population is about 31,000 (2004). The Yangyang area is well known for its pine song-i mushrooms, its fish—particularly salmon—and its sunrises.

╰ Naksansa Temple (낙산사)
Naksansa or Naksan Temple is a Korean Buddhist temple complex in the Jogye order of Korean Buddhism that stands on the slopes of Naksan Mountain (also called Obongsan Mountain). It is located about midway between Sokcho and Yangyang, Gangwon Province, the eastern region of South Korea. Naksansa is one of the few temples in Korea to overlook the East Sea (Sea of Japan).
╰ Hajodae Beach (하조대해변)
South of Naksansa, along the seashore, is Hajodae Beach, with a water depth of 0.5~1.5m and a fine, white sand beach that stretches for 1.5 km. It is 13 km south of Yangyang-gun, and 1 km north of the 38th parallel. There’s a pine forest behind the beach and if you follow the seashore from the entrance of the beach for about 1.5 km, there is a pavilion on top of a cliff. The flat bottom and low depth of the beach make it a suitable place for family vacations.
