English Camp in Nametoko 2015 -- Fundraiser
English Camp in Nametoko is a life-changing summer camp for Japanese junior high school students living in the countryside of Uwajima, Japan. The camp was started in 1957 by Christian missionaries, and ran successfully until 2009. Last year I was able to restart the camp after teaming up with the Yoshida International Association. The purpose of this camp is to get kids away from the academic pressures of school life, enjoy English, make new international friends, and help students discover more about themselves and the world they live in. The camp's staff is made up entirely of volunteers who are dedicated to the mission and lasting impact of the camp.
