You can eat seafood at the Hsinchu Fishing and Fishery Products Outlet Center by the new fishing port, located between Nanliao Tourist Information Center and Hsinchu Fishermen's Association.

The manmade Hualien Fishing Harbor is located at the northeastern tip of Hualien and is one of Taiwan's four main commercial harbors. It is about 10-minute drive from downtown Hualien. Many tourists arrive at this whale-watching wharf to take a boat ride on the Pacific Ocean.
The warm Kuroshio current brings shoals of migratory fish to the waters near Hualien. There are many restaurants at the harbor that serve fresh seafood.

4th Feb., 2011. Here, we call Bitou Cape (closed Keelung sea port) just between Taiwan Ocean and Pacific Ocean. They are crazy loveing ocean fishing in winter. Taiwan containers ship 60% are saling from Keelung sea port
台東河床沙地種哈密瓜 十甲地大豐收【央廣新聞】
河床上的空地，常有農民在這種西瓜，不過台東的關山，有果農突發奇想，在這河床沙地上種哈蜜瓜，沒想到相當適合，哈蜜瓜個個碩大飽滿，甜度還達到12度以上，加上今年風調雨順，沒被颱風影響到生長，種了十甲地，預計可以採收24萬台斤，真的是大豐收。
