Nant Distilling Company are producers of the internationally renowned single malt whiskey. Located in Bothwell, just an hour from Hobart, the company has utilises all of the region and its unique attributes to become one of the best distilleries of its kind. The distillery produces over six hundred and fifty barrels a year, while hosting over twenty thousand visitors through the Atrium Restaurant and tours.

Driving around a Tasmanian Heatwave

Highways were melting when we arrived on our Tassie holiday so we drove around the heat up the coast and then high up into the highland lakes. Next day we drove down from Taraleah to Hamilton then up to Bothwell skirting around the heatwave. That is why all the fields were golden scorched by the heatwave earlier on

Sheep Rescue at Ratho Farm in Bothwell, Tasmania

Just off the 16th green my golf companion for the day, Margaret and I found a sheep stuck in the mud and in distress at the water hazard. We called up Mick and he came with the crew, including the heroine of this story, Margaux, who jumped in to save the day.
