Newburgh Falls: On The Napanee River (Newburgh, ON - September 2015)
In the village of Newburgh, the Napanee River flows over a series of limestone steps. These limestone steps are anywhere from a few centimeters to over a meter tall. When this video was shot, it was a period of low flow in the Napanee River. As a result, there were sections of dry limestone that allowed for some close-up shots of the falls. Also, a separate channel in the river formed in a deep crevice of the limestone, between two sections of dry riverbed.
This particular spot along the Napanee River is not only interesting because of the falls. Some 19th century stone mill ruins can be found at this location. I was also able to spot some wildlife during my visit. For example, the falls had another visitor in the form of a heron, on the opposite banks of the river.
This video was shot at Newburgh Conservation Area on Labour Day, 2015.

St Thomas to Alvinston - Rural Ontario Bike Tour - Day 5 of 9
This video summarizes day 5 of my 9 day solo bicycle trip through South-Western Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.
Starting at Dalewood Conservation Area I headed north along Dalewood Rd then turned and headed west along Ron McNeil Line. From there I turned onto Wonderland Rd then headed southwest along Clinton Line, Longhurst Line, Stafford Line, 5 Gore Line and Shackleton. I turned and headed North West after reaching the community of Dutton along Currie Rd. Once I got to Duff Line I turned and headed South West through the community of Largie. After reaching Dunborough Road I turned again and headed North West and crossed over the Thames River where the road changed names to Simspon Rd. After a brief stretch heading South East along Longwoods Rd, I turned onto Dundonald Rd and continued North West. I stopped for lunch in Glencoe at Palace Family Restaurant, then continued along Dundonald until it changes names to Courtright Line and heads in the west direction. I made a right turn at Inwood Rd and passed through the community of Inwood where I stopped for a visit at the home of 1puglife from YouTube. I then traveled back East again along Shiloh Line which took me to my campground for the night at A.W. Campbell Conservation Area. After setting up my tent I headed into the community of Alvinston for dinner at Amour's Ale House. After dinner I did a nature walk around the lake trail at my campground.

The bike I used for this trip is a New York made Linear Recumbent Bike which I believe is from around 2004. I carried my gear in 2 Giant Waterproof Panniers, and mounted my tent and sleeping pad on the top of the rack.

Sheffield Conservation Area
Take a video tour of Sheffield Conservation Area.
Sheffield Conservation Area provides a four km looped trail that offers some challenging terrain for the avid hiker. Spectacular
granite outcroppings, deciduous forests and extensive wetlands typify this area of the Canadian Shield.
Songbirds, waterfowl, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals like beaver and muskrat are common here. Ontario’s only lizard, the five-lined skink, is also a resident.
For wildflower enthusiasts there is plenty of colour from the brilliant orange of the wood lily to the delicate pale corydalis along the trails. During wet times, some parts of the trail may be under water. The boat launch may not be suitable for large motor boats.
This 467 hectare (1,154 acre) Conservation Area is located 11 km south of Kaladar or 37 km north of Napanee, off Highway 41.
