The Nariva Swamp is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in Trinidad and Tobago. Home to hundreds of different species, the area has been threatened by human human activity, including illegal farming and hunting. This film explores the beauty of this biodiverse ecosystem, and conservations efforts that are being implemented.

Meeting with Nariva Swamp Dwellers Trinidad & Tobago
There are many changes in the Nariva Swamp. MBholasingh and Associates have been meeting with Swamp Dwellers to identify with the many challenges and identify a possible solution. In the process, the team is also formulating a 45 minutes documentary on the related swamp. Here the team meets with a party at the Swamp.

Nariva Swamp is the largest, most diverse wetland ecosystem in Trinidad and Tobago. It is located on the east coast of Trinidad between 10 °30 N and 10° 22 N latitude and 61° 01 W and 61° 06 W longitude. The Nariva Swamp Environmentally Sensitive Area covers an area of approximately 11343 hectares.

MBholasingh & Associates are Creating a documentary on the Nariva Swamp, the objective is to record the Swamp as it exists today and the plants and animals that inhabit. The information gathered would be derived from on the spot interviews and visuals from visits to the area.
Meeting the people Nariva Swamp Trinidad & Tobago Part 2
The Nariva Swamp once a wetland which provided fish and other wildlife for the population. Today this swamp is being converted into a food basket, providing a range of crops plantain, cucumbers, ochroes, peppers, watermelons, and others. The farmers spoke to MBholasingh & Associates about the issues they face as they farm the land.

Their intention is to formulate a documentary on the related wetland while recording all flora and fauna types present. Description: The Nariva Swamp is the largest freshwater wetland in Trinidad and Tobago and has been designated a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention. The swamp is located on the east coast of Trinidad, immediately inland from the Manzanilla Bay through Biche and covers over 60 square kilometres (23 mi2). The Nariva Swamp is extremely biodiverse. It is home to 45 mammal species, 39 reptile species, 33 fish species, 204 bird species, 19 frog species, 213 insect species and 15 mollusc species. All this contained in just 60 square kilometers
