Tõrvajõe waterfall is located in Tõrvajõe village in the immediate vicinity of Tallinn-Narva highway.
The waterfall gets its water from River Tõrvajõe. There are several small terraces: the main terrace which is up to 2.5 m high and three smaller terraces which are not higher than 0.5 m. The terrace of Tõrvajõe waterfall is under protection. In the dry periods of summers, the waterfall gets very dry. It contains the most water during springs and heavy showers.
River Tõrvajõe continues to Tõrvajõe canyon after the waterfall until it reaches a lowland.

Водопад Тырвайыэ находится в деревне Тырвайыэ, недалеко от шоссе Таллинн-Нарва.
Водопад питает река Тырвайыги. У реки Тырвайыги несколько небольших уступов: основной уступ, высота которого достигает 2,5 м, и три уступа поменьше, высоты которых не превышает 0,5 м. Уступ реки Тырвайыги находится под охраной государства. Водопад страдает от нехватки воды во время засушливых периодов. Самым полноводным водопад бывает весной и во время сильных дождей.
Река Тырвайыги после спуска течет в каньоне Тырвайыэ, пока не выходит в низину.

Frozen wonderland! Valaste Waterfall in Estonia gets winter white look after storm
Valaste Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Estonia, has turned into an icy wonderland. After a storm last week, the spray is freezing up and ice formations have encased the trees around. Valaste Waterfall, with a height of 30 meters, is situated on the Ontika Limestone Cliff. It is a popular tourist attraction.
