EIFEL - Im Tal der wilden Narzissen (Valley of the wild daffodils)

Von Mitte April bis Anfang Mai gibt es in der Eifel ein einzigartiges Naturschauspiel zu bewundern, was mich zu einer kleinen Wanderung in den Nationalpark veranlasste. Im Perlenbachtal bei Monschau wachsen um diese Zeit nämlich Millionen von wilden Narzissen an den Flussufern und Wegen. Das Perlenbachtal liegt im deutsch-belgischen Grengebiet und verdankt seinen Namen tatsächlich dem Umstand, das hier früher Flussperlmuscheln heimisch waren.

From the middle of April to the early march you can see an unique spectacle of nature in the Eifel-region, which bring me to a little walk through the nationalpark. At this time there were grow up millions of daffodils on the riverbanks and lanes. The Perlenbach lies in the German-Belgian border region and owed his name in fact that here were once native mussels found.

Wild daffodils in Perlenbachtal

Every spring, whole meadows full of wild daffodils bloom in our area. The valleys of the Perlenbach and Fuhrtsbach, but also on the embankments of the Rur and on sun-kissed hills, a yellow carpet grows for a few weeks.

You can hike the Narzissenroute, several circular hiking trails to the valleys full of daffodils. On the weekends around Easter, the car parks around Monschau, Höfen and Kalterherberg are full of tourists who want to see the miracle for themselves.

These wild daffodils bloom in the valley of Perlenbach, close to the German/Belgian border in the National Park of Eifel. Just a few seconds before my dog crashed the vid.

Ze vangen muggen in hun vlucht. Aan de flanken planten die dol zijn op nattigheid. Zoals beekpunge en bittere veldkers.
