Kentucky Railway Museum - 2009
The Kentucky Railway Museum, located in New Haven, Kentucky, United States, is a non-profit railroad museum dedicated to educating the public regarding the history and heritage of Kentucky's railroads and the people who built them. Originally created in 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky, the museum is at its third location, in extreme southern Nelson County. It is one of the oldest railroad stations in the United States.
The museum owns four steam locomotives, six diesel locomotives and over a hundred pieces of rolling stock. Four of the pieces are separately on the National Register of Historic Places: the Louisville and Nashville Steam Locomotive No. 152, the Louisville and Nashville Combine Car Number 665, the Mt. Broderick Pullman Lounge-Obs-Sleeping Car, and the Frankfort and Cincinnati Model 55 Rail Car.
Riding on Greyhound, June 26th 2012
I don't honestly remember if this was in Birmingham AL or Nashville TN just after we left the greyhound bus station since I can't remember what time the original video was recorded.
Recorded on June 26, 2012 using a Flip Video camera.
Nighttime Polar Bear Express
Shot 12-11-15 around 7:35 at Lantern Road crossing in Fishers Indiana. The Indiana Transportation Museum operated Polar Bear Express comes into station, returning from the North Pole.
Leading the consist is a former Milwaukee Road F7 painted in Nickel Plate Road Demonstrator colors (83) pulling the 1928 built Nickel Plate Road #1 (President's Car), six former Santa Fe 1937 Budd built stainless steel coaches (some of the first ever built), followed by a former Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad lounge/baggage car with a head-end power (HEP) generator installed, and former Nickel Plate Road GP7 in Nickel Plate livery (426).
The night-time shot allows for the Mars light to be seen before the train comes around the bend, the interior of the cars decorated in a Christmas theme, rain illuminated by the headlight, and stainless steel fluting reflecting ambient lights.

Evansville Western Railway's EVW-1 south @ Ashley, Woodlawn, Mt. Vernon, Belle Rive, Dahlgren, IL
On Saturday July 6, 2019, the Evansville Western Railway ran a monster 17,000 ton southbound grain train which also included local interchange traffic picked up off the BNSF interchange at Woodlawn, IL. The hoppers were loaded at the elevators near the end-of-track in the Okawville / Washington County, IL, area and are headed for customers in the eastern United States. This train departed from Addieville that morning with several unique EMD locomotives lashed up on the head end. I caught up with the train at Ashley, IL, and followed it to Woodlawn, Mt. Vernon, Belle Rive, and Dahlgren, IL. Enjoy! -Scott

HEADS UP! (10amEST Fri. Sept 20th ) Traveling EAST on I-40 between Nashville and Knoxville ACTIVE DUTY US ARMY moving in convoy including 20+ vehicles - multiple humvees pulling generators on trailers, telecommunication equip & covered loads! They stopped at a LOVES gas station and I questioned a couple of the soldiers. That is how I determined that they were ACTIVE duty and not Guard. Also, from questioning I was able to determine that they were NOT from Ft. Campbell, which one might think. Also, in questioning them, of course they were not able to tell me anything of substance. One quoted the cute line of I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you., and one soldier when asked if there was an operation going on, which obviously there was, answered, No. We're just sightseeing as he walked away. HEADS UP PEOPLE.
Road Trip Railfanning in August 2017
In August we took a long road trip across the United States to Michigan, with trains from five railroads and six states: Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Featured in this video are Amtrak trains in Michigan, UP trains in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Illinois, BNSF freight in Montana, and more!
Abandoned and Unused Portions of HHPA's Heritage Railway - Tipton, Indiana
This video shows the Hoosier Heritage Port Authority owned Heritage railway in Tipton, Indiana. These are former Nickel Plate, N&W, and NS tracks part of the Indianapolis-Michigan City mainline. The HHPA acquired the line in 1995 to run excursion trains between Tipton and Indianapolis. The Indiana Transportation Museum ran these trains until about 2015 and after some drama, was evicted in 2018. The Nickel Plate Heritage Railroad soon took over operations the same year but only to run trains between Atlanta and Noblesville. In Tipton, the northern portion of this line has been cut and removed tremendously which would be the abandoned section. The southern portion hasn't been used since about 2013/2014. The Nickel Plate express does have future plans to extend service up to Tipton.
