National Automobile Museum of Tasmania Visit
My short visit to the National Automobile Museum of Tasmania (NAMT) in the city of Launceston. Footage taken with my HTC smartphone (apologies for some shaky cam clips). The museum changes cars throughout the year and I came in the Vintage cars theme with vehicles from the 1906 Orient Buckboard to the 1930s mixed with cool automobiles from the 60s such as the convertible 1968 Camaro RS and the most recent model I saw was a 1986 Ferrari (412 model).

Launceston's trolley buses
Who can remember riding on one of Launceston's trolley buses?
Electric-powered trolley buses plied the streets of Launceston for nearly two decades from 1951.
Soon after they began operating, it became clear that their enormous weight was posing a challenge for the city's roads.
In order to address this, the Council rolled out some 21 miles (around 33 kilometers) of concrete roads across the city over ten years. The concrete lanes were better able to handle the weight of the trolley buses. When built, the concrete sections were estimated to have a lifespan of around 20 years.
The City of Launceston is now undertaking a reseal of Wellington Street, between Cridge Street and Bailey Street, which will see one of the last remaining stretches of concrete from this era covered over.
