Let's Explore Piscataway Park in Accokeek, Maryland - National Colonial Farm * FULL MOVIE *
The National Colonial Farm is a historic farm museum established by the Accokeek Foundation in 1958. The farm demonstrates 18th century agriculture by preserving rare breed of animals and crops. Structures located within the farm site are open to the public and include a circa 1770 farm dwelling, an 18th century tobacco barn, and an out-kitchen. Costumed interpreters are available on the farm during the season (March - December) on the weekends to help guide the visitor experience as they show you how the typical tobacco farming family might have lived in Maryland. The National Colonial Farm is open daily, and there is no general admission fee except during special events. School and specialty group tour reservations can be made throughout the year. - Wikipedia CLICK THIS! -

***** FILM NOTES *****
This short film was created by amateur filmmaker Keith Elliott using a (2011) Sony Handycam, model # HDR-CX360V, Koziro mini tripod, and recorded in High Definition (HD) 1080p.
Film sequences were shot in one day, mid-afternoon on a Wednesday, over the span of 3 1/2 hours. Post production editing took approximately 14 hours (3 hours to export all the video clips + time for all the rest I had to do). 17 1/2 hours total.
Sound had to be manipulated to remove a couple of very loud children, Sun glare made it impossible to use some of the scenes I captured so I ended up using more transitions than I wanted to, one of the fishermen at the dock caught a eel and left it on the dock to be used later as bait…I removed that scene due to its graphic content. I thought all the little piggies were adorable…so, I included all of that footage.
Post production editing and color correction was performed on a 21.5-inch, Mid 2011 iMac, using iMovie, version 10.1.9 running macOS High Sierra version 10.13.6.
Since this park is very remote, I chose to use natural sounds versus adding a music overlay.

Nez Perce National Historical Park
A short clip highlighting the artifacts and displays at the Nez Perce National Historical Park in Lapwai, Idaho. The entire Clearwater River Valley and adjacent Weippe Prairie are brimming with history and are well worth a look.
Lewiston Idaho was actually the first Capital of Idaho and Pierce Idaho was the first actual city in the state. There is a rich history in this area especially in regards to the Nez Perce or Nimipuu Indians. They were incredibly advanced horse breeders for the relatively short time they had utilized horses. The Appaloosa breed is a product of their efforts. They also were the Tribe that fought the US Army in the last great battles of the Indian Wars. Although they ultimately lost the war, they won many decisive battles against the US Calvary. Their superior horsemanship and horses bred specifically for the demands of the region proved invaluable.
This museum and collection of artifacts display their amazing culture and legacy to the region. There are a number of sites belonging to what is known as Nez Perce Historical Trail with sites in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. These sites are associated with the Nez Perce's last great battle. I will include links below for more information on this Tribe and this region's rich and diverse history.
