GAMBIA: TOUCHING REAL CROCODILES at the KACHIKALLY CROCODILE POOL ????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the Kachikally crocodile pool which is located in the heart of Bakau, Gambia, about 10 miles (16 km) from the capital Banjul. It is one of three sacred crocodile pools used as sites for fertility rituals. The exact number of crocodiles is not known but it is estimated that there are about 80. It was long claimed that all the animals are Nile crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus), but research suggests they are a different species, namely the West African crocodile (Crocodylus suchus). Crocodiles are allowed to roam freely, and can be approached and touched by visitors.

THE GAMBIA: The fascinating FISHING VILLAGE of TANJI (AFRICA) ????????
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit Tanji Fishing Village (also spelt Tanjeh or Tanje) which is close to the Atlantic Ocean beach, in the northern section of the Kombo South District, West Coast Region of The Gambia, in West Africa. The settlement is 30km by road from the capital of Banjul, and approximately 12km southwest of Kololi resort, and adjacent to the Kombo Coastal Road. We are going to visit the area directly in front of the fishing village and which is a fish landing site, so it is definitely not suitable for swimming. Because it's a very active, working beach, you'll find it scattered with old, shredded gillnets, sea snail shells, plastic bags and bottles, and other things floating on the water or resting on the shore. The air is filled with the odour of smoked fish; an unimaginable number of seagulls hover overhead looking for scraps, fishermen land their afternoon catch from long African pirogues, passing buckets of catch onto the heads of local women, who then ferry it to the shore. Activity is frenzied and messy, but surprisingly efficient.

SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the beautiful country of The Gambia in Africa and let's visit the Gambia High School which is a school in Box Bar Road in the capital city of Banjul. The school was founded in 1876 in Dobson Street, Banjul, by Wesleyan missionaries. In 1898 it re-opened as the Methodist Boys' High School and in 1915 the associated Girls High School was opened. The girls' and boys' high schools were merged in 1959 to create the Gambia High School and the location moved to Box Bar Road, the site of our visit in this video.

Driving through the Slums of Nema Kunku / Gambia
After visiting a friend in Welingara, I ordered the taxi driver to drive through the Nema Kunku neighborhood, as the roads to the direction of Latrikunda & Bundung are stuck with traffic jams as usual at the end of the day. I'm calling it slums here, but it are officially normal residential areas. Walls around every compound, and that's not because its very safe here after dark. People around here are very poor. The dirt and waste on the streets are pretty bad, but everyone in Africa thinks it normal to throw everything on the streets. Unpaved roads of course, stopped when we reach a through road. I case you didn't notice yet, the streets have no names in this area, but that's normal in these neighborhoods.
-----
