St. Kitts and Nevis are mountainous siblings representing two sides of one handsome coin, and sharing a St. Kitts-based government.
Nevis, the smaller of the two, boasts important historic sights: Nevis is the birthplace of American statesman Alexander Hamilton, and his former home is now a museum; Great Britain's famed naval hero Admiral Horatio Nelson met and married Nevisian Fanny Brice here in 1787, and their marriage license is recorded at Fig Tree Church. Visitors partake in watersports on Pinney's Beach (home of the Four Seasons) and Oualie Beach, plus there's mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, diving and snorkeling trips. The local botanical garden contains one of the largest collections of palms in the region, and the Four Seasons golf course and tennis facilities are among the Caribbean's finest. Liming -- relaxing -- at the various beach bars is worth a few lazy afternoons, while evenings are best spent on gourmet dining.
The history is no less rich on St. Kitts, which Christopher Columbus named St. Christopher after the patron saint of travelers, and the appellation was eventually shortened to St. Kitts. Nine forts guarded the island's coastline, none more impressive than the massive Brimstone Hill Fortress; it is a wonderfully preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site today and well worth exploration. For beaches and watersports, head south to Frigate Bay, where most of the hotel rooms are located, or just beyond, to the Southeast Peninsula, where the island's best white-sand coves ring the peninsula's rolling hills and salt ponds. Watch for green vervet monkeys scampering across the road, dodging into bushes or looking for a handout at Turtle Beach
AIRPORTS/GATEWAYS/FLYING TIMES: Airports: The Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport in St. Kitts is less than 2 miles from downtown Basseterre and Newcastle Airport in Nevis is approximately 6 miles outside Charlestown. Flight times from Miami-3 hours, Charlotte-4 hours, London-8 hours, Antigua-20 minutes, San Juan, Puerto Rico- 1hour, St. Maarten-20 minutes.
CLIMATE: Temperature High/Low Summer 90/76 degrees F. Winter 84/72 degrees F. Average humidity is 71.5%. Annual rainfall averages 55 inches. Approximate sunrise 0530, sunset 1830.
DINING: Food aficionados will find a wonderful range of cuisines to select from available at various restaurants, both individually operated and found within the island's hotels or inns. Local delicacies with a distinctly Caribbean flair dominate most menus, yet Continental, vegetarian, Italian and other styles can also be found on St. Kitts. Tipping is discretionary at 10-15%. Dress code varies depending on the establishment.
NIGHTLIFE: Entertainment available includes-Live local and international entertainment. Conventional Clubs. Beach Bars/Club. Casino. Sports bars. Dinner/dances. Cinema.
LANGUAGE: English.
SIGHTSEEING: The historic capital city of Basseterre offers sites including Independence Square, Berkley Memorial, St. George's Anglican Church, St. Barnabus Anglican Church, the Georgian House, the National Museum, the Cenotaph (war memorial), Government House and the Port Zante cruise terminal. Other top tourist draws on island are Brimstone Hill (the only manmade UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Eastern Caribbean), Black Rocks, Bloody Point, Old Road Town, Carib Indian Petroglyphs, Romney Manor and the Caribelle Batik Factory, Belmont Estate, the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, tropical rainforest and extinct volcano Mt. Liamuiga.

St Kitts Slavery, History and Tourism
There’s much more to the Caribbean isle of St. Kitts than beautiful beaches. Without question, casual tourists who overlook the history of the region miss out on important cultural milestones and attractions such as Brimstone Hill Fortress, the ruins of the oldest rum distillery in the Caribbean and a historic square that was once the hub of slave trade in the Lesser Antilles, to name a few.
Brimstone Hill Fortress and National Park
Arguably, the most stunning attraction on the island is Brimstone Hill Fortress and National Park. This 37-acre park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved fortifications in the Caribbean.
St. Kitts was the first island in the Caribbean to be settled by both the French and British, both of whom transported slaves from Africa to work in sugar plantations and other labor-driven industries. A lot of money and power was at stake during the Colonial period of the 17th and 18th centuries, and this imposing fortress was built on the backs of slaves to protect the island from opposing forces who would attack by sea.
Independence Square
Originally called Pall Mall Square, Independence Square became the administrative, commercial and social center of Basseterre—the capital of St. Kitts and Nevis—beginning in 1750. It was also ground zero for slave trade in the region. Slave ships would dock at the nearby port, and the slaves they brought with them would be imprisoned in the basements of the buildings that encircled the square.
When the time came, slaves who were in good health would be auctioned at Independence Square, their fate forever changed. Parents were often separated from their children, lovers split apart. They might end up on other Caribbean islands, working the sugarcane fields, or perhaps across the ocean, harvesting tobacco plants in plantations throughout the U.S.
Ruins of the Sugarcane and Rum Industry
With the abolishment of slavery throughout the British colonies in 1834 and numerous other factors, the sugarcane and rum industries eventually collapsed in St. Kitts and elsewhere in the Caribbean. Evidence of this economic shift can be seen in the form of ruins across the island, including the St. Kitts Sugar Factory and Compound, the Belmont Estate Yard and Wingfield Estate—the oldest rum distillery in the Caribbean.
St. Kitts Scenic Railway
One particularly interesting vestige of Colonialism is the St. Kitts Scenic Railway, which was originally built to transport sugar cane from the plantations to the sugar factory in Basseterre. It has been transformed into an informative three-hour, all-you-can-drink tour of the island, complete with choral singers who perform folk songs. While the rails are bumpy and the train ride is about twice as long as it needs to be, the St. Kitts Scenic Railway offers some truly stunning views that would be difficult (and in some cases damn near impossible) to see any other way.
“Just look at these views,” said Austin Huggins of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “This is St Kitts. It is the closest you get to heaven.”

Saint Kitts & Nevis
St Kitts & Nevis is an island country locate in Caribbean Sea, it is the smallest sovereign state in the western hemisphere. Basseterre is the capital city and most populated city. Moreover, the total area of this country is 261 km2. The total population in 2010 is 51445 people. Then in 2018 the total population is 55720 people. Today I have two famous Place to show all of you which is The National Museum in Saint Kitts and Piney beach in Nevis.
Now let me interpretation about the first famous place is The National Museum of Saint Kitts is a museum in Basseterre. It is run by the St. Christopher National Trust the current museum building was originally constructed as Treasury Building in 1894 It was once used as the entry port from the nearby pier. In 1996, the treasury moved to a new building. In 2002, the museum was finally opened. The museum building once stood at the waterfront south of Saint Kitts Island facing the Basseterre Bay. Now area south of the building has been reclaimed the museum showcases the culture and heritage of Saint Kitts and Nevis the total of this museum is 900m2. Every day many people around the world go there because they want to know culture and heritage of this country
Piney Beach is a very long sandy beach on the western Caribbean coast of the island of Nevis. The southern end of Piney Beach starts just outside the capital, Charlestown. The beach extends north three miles from there, ending at the northern point of Cades Bay, which is currently where the Sea Bridge ferry dock is located. The strait separating Nevis from the neighboring island of Saint Kitts. Piney Beach takes its name from Piney Estate. This was a large piece of land, a plantation which in the 19th century was owned by the Piney family, who lived on Nevis for several generations. As well as you know piney beach is a very famous place in Nevis every day many people go there because they want to swim, eat famous foot and want to sleep in comfortable room in Nevis.
Finally in my research I have already the two famous Place of Saint Kitts and Nevis there are The National Museum of Saint Kitts and piney beach in Nevis.
