National Portrait Gallery - Faces of Australia
Our video celebrates 20 years of the National Portrait Gallery.
For two decades the National Portrait Gallery has been telling Australian stories through portraits of remarkable people. It now boasts a collection of more than 2,600 portraits.
Established in 1998, the National Portrait Gallery was originally housed in Old Parliament House and a nearby gallery on Commonwealth Place. Ten years later the permanent gallery opened its doors in the current location beside the High Court of Australia in Canberra.

A day in the life of the National Portrait Gallery
Here we open a window into the wonderful world of working at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Staff have been captured going about business as usual, but as you will see, nothing is ever 'usual' at the National Portrait Gallery. This behind-the-scenes portrait of the ever-happy and hip-shakin' NPG team was a total joy to produce.
Massive props to our amazing editor, Jane Duong (and this isn't even her day job...)
