Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

These elevators were nice with the touch sensitive buttons, orange LED lights on the floor indicator, and a voice announcement in English and Chinese, except that level 3 was locked. Traction151, what do you think of these elevators?

Taipei Children's Amusement Park
This is video about Taipei Children's Amusement Park.
This video has the information about what you can do there.
The Taipei Children's Amusement Park (hereinafter the Park), began life as the Taipei Children's Recreation Center in Yuanshan. The entire area was categorized as a national archeological site on April 11, 2006. In addition to national cultural heritage laws, the location was also bound by height restrictions as it is located on a flight path, as well as irrigation management laws, due to its proximity to a waterway. As a result, management and development of the site were greatly impacted and limited.
To overcome these restrictions, in October 2007, the Taipei City government developed plans to build a new children's park in the Shilin District (spanning about 5 hectares), in close proximity to the Taipei Astronomic Museum, the National Taiwan Science Education Center, Meilun Park and the Shuangxi waterways. The plan consolidated all these different units and consisted a key priority of the municipal Whitepaper, aiming to create an area that incorporates education, leisure and cultural properties.
After completion of the Park in 2014, the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation was commissioned for its management and maintenance.Citizens may extend their visits beyond the facilities of the Park, diversifying available activities to education and the natural environment surrounding the Taipei Children's Amusement Park.

OUR FAMILY TRIP TO TAIWAN! | April Chu Travel Vlog
Come join my family and me as we spend 19 days exploring Taiwan! I have been there many times before but this is the first time I decided to vlog it. We tried to visit a good mix of touristy and off the beaten path places during our trip. Enjoy!
TIPS ON TRAVELING TO TAIWAN WITH KIDS:
1. Familiarize yourself with the public transportation – it’s fun, cheap, convenient, and safe!
2. Bring a baby carrier or stroller. Little legs get tired easily. I’ve brought these on my trips:
3. Wear comfortable shoes. You will be doing a lot of walking!
4. Bring rain cover, bug repellant, and sunscreen. The weather can be unpredictable, especially in the fall.
5. Don’t stress out on trying to do too much. Just be flexible and have fun!
FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY:
1. Mangrove Nature Reserve
2. Shifen Sky Lantern
3. National Taiwan Museum
4. National Museum of Marine Science & Technology
5. Maokong Gondola & Taipei Zoo
6. Taipei Children’s Amusement Park
7. National Taiwan Science Education Center
TAIPEI ASTRONOMICAL MUSEUM
The Taipei Astronomical Museum
It took over the responsibilities of its predecessor, the Taipei City Observatory. The dome is made up of geometrically identical pieces joined together and an avant-garde cover that takes advantage of natural lighting. Together with an altazimuth and solarium, it embodies the Taipei Astronomical Museum's design concept - a symbol of the immensity and profundity of space.
