Our first stop on our Carnival Magic Cruise out of Miami from 4.28-5.5 2019. In Grand Cayman we went on a Native Way Watersports Tour to Stingray City, snorkeling and then out to Rum Point for lunch. Epic Carnival Cruise Vacation - She Kisses a Stingray - Travel Vlog Day 5 - Grand Cayman
Epic Carnival Cruise Vacation - She Kisses a Stingray - Travel Vlog Day 5. On this crazy day we had the opportunity to Hell and back, Seven Mile Beach, sea turtle sanctuary, and stingray city! If you would like to know more about each of these, I have typed up some info on each of them in the description!
-Seven Mile Beach
Situated on the western side of Grand Cayman, the area attracts travellers from all over the world. With sparkling waters and coral sands, this shoreline is a perfect get away!!
-Turtle Sanctuary
turtle.ky
In the 1600 and 1700's the Cayman Islands became a provisioning stop for vessels sailing the Caribbean because of an abundance of green sea turtles, which could be caught and kept alive on board as a source of fresh meat. However, the turtles around the islands were depleted by the early 1800's. The Cayman turtling fleet continued operating at a sustained level until the early 1900's. By this time turtle populations were dwindling and, in subsequent years, national and international regulations and alternative sources of income reduced the turtling industry to a negligible level.
The turtle farm and sanctuary serves as a means to safely breed and properly release Sea Turtle into nature.
-Hell, Grand Cayman
There are numerous versions of how Hell received its name, but they are generally variations on This is what Hell must look like.' or It is also claimed that the name Hell is derived from the fact that if a pebble is thrown out into the formation, it echoes among the limestone peaks and valleys and sounds as if the pebble is falling all the way down to Hell. Regardless of how it first came to be called Hell, the name stuck and the area has become a tourist attraction
-Stingray City, Grand Cayman
Stingray City is a series of shallow sandbars found in the North Sound of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. It is a tourist attraction, where southern stingrays are found in abundance and visitors can pet and interact with the animals

Grand Cayman is becoming the island of many murals
Several artists are giving Cayman buildings a splash of color this summer as a group of murals pop up around town.
Three of the murals have been painted specifically in preparation for next February’s KAABOO festival. Amandalynn painted a scene of butterflies on the side of the Camana Bay underpass, and she assisted Jet Martinez in the floral work across from Bay Market. Finally, Ian Ross and Amandalynn painted a giant jungle green canvas at Mitzi’s Fine Jewelry on West Bay Road.
Carlos Garcia of Loyalty Ink tattoo studio has also been painting new works all over town. Mr. Garcia, a native of Honduras, has painted vivid murals at Morritt’s, Atlantis Submarine, Ultra Lounge, Cotton Club and Bodden Town Primary School, among others. Read the full story at caymancompass.com.
