Isfahan, Iran Part 8 (Travel Documentary in Urdu Hindi)
Isfahan (Persian: اصفهان, translit. Esfahān: historically also rendered in English as Ispahan, Sepahan, Esfahan or Hispahan, is the capital of Isfahan Province in Iran, located about 340 kilometres (211 miles) south of Tehran.
The Greater Isfahan Region had a population of 3,793,104 in the 2011 Census, the second most populous metropolitan area in Iran after Tehran.
Isfahan is located on the main north–south and east–west routes crossing Iran, and was once one of the largest cities in the world. It flourished from 1050 to 1722, particularly in the 16th and 17th centuries under the Safavid dynasty, when it became the capital of Persia for the second time in its history. Even today, the city retains much of its past glory. It is famous for its Persian–Islamic architecture, with many beautiful boulevards, covered bridges, palaces, mosques, and minarets. This led to the Persian proverb Esfahān nesf-e- jahān ast (Isfahan is half of the world).
The Naghsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan is one of the largest city squares in the world. It has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The city also has a wide variety of historic monuments and is known for the paintings, history and architecture.

Iran's capital is Tehran, but the capital of culture is Isfahan. In the days of Isfahan, the Persian capital Abbas I, art grew to a high level. Especially music was always with people's lives. People in Iran believed that music comes from the heart, not from the fingertip. So the bottom part of the instrument is the heart of the woman's heart. I'll tell you a story about this instrument. About 200 years ago, the Kajar dynasty, the government of Iran at the time, banned Iranians from playing music. Because music was a symbol of the Sapavic dynasty, it banned everything related to music, such as forbidding classes and breaking musical instruments. But in order not to give up music and not forget music, the Iranians used this flat three- I made it so that I could hide the instrument inside the jacket. So I call this instrument an 'undercourt setar'. This is also a kind of musical instrument. This hole is made for milling. I put the seeds and a few stones in it and spent 6 days to make the flour. I made this (flour). This time I will show you more real life and close-up musical instruments. This is a musical instrument is. It was an instrument made by the Iranian people who were poor with kettle. The sound is very beautiful. indeed. They were poor, but they did not give up music. Iran has a long history and culture. Civilization is perfected when culture is backed up. An important part of the culture is music and musical instruments. There is space for small performances in the basement of the museum. I play only when there are many visitors to the museum, but today it is especially for me. I could not imagine that the instruments on display would give such a beautiful melody. This time, it is a little more light. Even if sorrow breaks us down, I will win with the power of love with you. The lyrics quoted from the poem are beautiful. It was a concert for me that I could not experience anywhere.

Iran Isfahan Chehel Sotoun Palace Pavillion
Chehelsotoon Palace, Isfahan, Iran.
This building - now a veritable museum of Persian painting and ceramics-was a pleasure pavilion used for the king's entertainments and receptions. It stands inside a vast royal park, but relatively near the enclosure, and was built by Shah Abbas II round an earlier building erected by Shah Abbas I. An inscription states that the decoration and frescoes were finished in 1647. Only two large historical frescoes date from the later period of the Zand dynasty.
Unfortunately, the Chehel Sotun has been badly damaged since then, especially when the Afghans occupied the town and covered the paintings with a thick coat of whitewash. It is now being extensively restored under the aegis of the Institute Italian Per il Medio Oriente.
This pavilion opens on the gardens by means of an elegant terrace, only a few steps high and supported by slender, delicate wooden pillars. In reality, there were never more than twenty columns, but they were reflected in the pool in the park, and so the Persians liked to call the building the pavilion with Forty Columns (besides, the number 40 had a symbolic meaning in Persia and expressed respect and admiration). Two rows of water-spouts and fountains in the shape of stone lions at the four corners carried water to the huge, elegant rectangular basin.

A Persian Carpet for $100,000?! (Isfahan, Iran)
Did you know that IRAN is the world's largest producer and exporter of CARPETS, producing 3/4ths of the world's total output?!
And frankly, you cannot visit Iran without being completely immersed in the carpet scene. They are decorating almost every floor in all mosques, palaces, museums, hotels, restaurants, households and any other notable buldings. The come in all kinds of textures, designs, colors and styles -- and they add such a unique flavor to Iranian culture. I am really enjoying it!
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting one of the most well known carpet shops in Isfahan, Iran -- and little did I know how EXPENSIVE they can be! Well, not all of them (some are $70USD...) but I found one today that is worth $100,000 USD!! Can you believe that? One carpet for the price of a nice house in Iran!
Join me as I take you deeper inside the world of Persian rugs, and stay tuned for more to come from this amazing G Adventures trip of a lifetime :)

Here are some of my photos from my hometown, Isfahan, the second most populous metropolitan area in Iran after Tehran.
Isfahan is located on the main north–south and east–west routes crossing Iran, and was once one of the largest cities in the world. It has been several times capital city of Iran and is famous for its Persian–Islamic architecture, with many beautiful boulevards, covered bridges, palaces, mosques, and minarets.
The photos have been taken in 2016. There are some photos from historical places such as Naghsh-e Jahan Square, Shah and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Khajoo and Si- o-Se- Pol bridges as well as various handy crafts made only in Isfahan.

IRAN VLOG #6: BEAUTIFUL ARMENIAN CHURCH IN ESFAHAN
The Holy Savior Cathedral (Armenian: Սուրբ Ամենափրկիչ Վանք – Surb Amenaprkich Vank; Persian: کلیسای آمناپرکیچ – Kelisā ye Āmenāperkič), also known the Church of the Saintly Sisters, is a cathedral located in the New Julfa district of Isfahan, Iran. It is commonly referred to as the Vank (Վանք; وانک), which means monastery or convent in the Armenian language. - Wikipedia
This church is located in the Jolfa section of Esfahan - a place dedicated to the Armenian Christians (by Shah Abbas I) fleeing persecution by the Ottomans during the Ottoman War.
Do not miss a visit to this church when you are in Esfahan!

ISFAHAN- IRAN 2018 BY SORAYA ZAREI
Among the cities of Iran, Isfahan is like a piece of jewelry that despite the historical fluctuations in the area has still retained its luster and glory throughout the centuries. The city is so vibrant that it seems as if it has been born today and yet it is so original that it looks as though it has always existed.
