Pliosaur Unveiling
A fossil of a Pliosaur, (a huge marine reptile dating back 155 million years) is unveiled by Sir David Attenborough at the Dorset County Museum.
Jurassica - Video Learning - WizScience.com
Jurassica is a planned visitor attraction in a disused quarry on the Isle of Portland, near Weymouth in Dorset, southern England. It is based on the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site, and as a subterranean geological park, will largely present the prehistoric world. The attraction's location has been chosen as Yeolands Quarry, a now disused quarry that has been operational until the 21st century by Portland Stone Ltd. The 120ft deep, 300ft wide quarry is found on the eastern side of the island, and close to The Grove village.
The £85–90 million project plans were unveiled in late 2013. Inspired by the Eden Project, which itself was built in an old clay pit in St. Austell, Cornwall, the attraction plans are to showcase hundreds of world-class paleontological remains, and these include dinosaurs, marine reptiles, marine invertebrates and plants. An aquarium is planned to be a part of the attraction, and other ideas include building aquatic tanks filled with animatronic models of prehistoric sea monsters. Other schemes involve taking visitors back in time, 140 million years ago, on a journey flying around the Earth. The park has been described as about a third of the size of the Millennium Dome, and will be covered with a translucent, domed glass and steel roof spanning 350ft, which has been described as a unique, lightweight translucent roof, much like a spider web, that will be almost invisible from outside. The site is also planned to be the world's first carbon-negative large visitor attraction, using solar panels to generate its own power, as well as reviving the park and ride scheme that was available during the 2012 Olympics within Weymouth and Portland area. Portland is being seen as ideal site at the centre of the Jurassic Coast, England's first natural World Heritage Site. The project, if completed, is said to create 200 jobs for the local economy.

England Travel | Why is a bunch of big rocks so Famous?
Welcome to my channel and this week’s video is about England Travel, Stonehenge - Why is a bunch of big rocks so Famous?
England continues to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
Most travelers tend to stick to London, which is understandable, it’s a great city. But England’s smaller cities, like Bath and Oxford, are equally as fascinating with a lot of culture and fewer crowds. Liverpool, the birthplace of The Beatles, boasts a rich musical history.
You have the beautiful mountainous north, the rolling hills of Lancaster and Cornwall, Stonehenge, Hadrian’s Wall, and Tudor cities like Chester. The countryside has fascinating estates and natural beauty.
Explore historical-turned-trendsetting London, marvel at the stone circle at Stonehenge, be a part of Beatle mania in Liverpool, or hit the beach in Brighton — here's what to do in England.
In this England Travel Vlog 2020, I will explain you about How to Travel to England? Tips for England travel budget, England top attractions, Things to see and do in England. Best places to visit in England. This is England Travel reviews for your future England Vacation planning.

Things to See and Do in England and Best Places to visit in England:
1. London: You can’t go to England without seeing London. It’s a city that requires a lot of money to really enjoy it though. Bars, clubs, restaurants, and theater all drain your budget really fast. But, despite its costs, there’s a plethora of free markets, museums, parks, and a lot of history to take in.
2. Explore the coast: England’s coastal towns make for a relaxing holiday. The most popular destination is Brighton, well known for its summer parties and festivals. But don’t overlook places like Weymouth, Dover, or Newquay, where you can do everything from surfing huge waves to simply lounging on the beach.
3. Cornwall: Cornwall is like mini-New England and coming here makes you see why English settlers felt at home in the New World. Just like New England, Cornwall has rolling hills, beautiful lakes, small towns, wonderful hiking trails, great food, and even a winery.
4. Bath: Bath is named after the famous mineral baths in the city. It is home to an ancient Roman bath that is marvelously well preserved.
5. Enjoy summertime in the Lake District. Located in Northern England, this area is perfect for hiking mountain passes and sailing around pristine lakes.
6. Buckingham Palace: Buckingham Palace, home to the Queen of England
7. Visit the Tower of London: Here you can see the crown jewels of England
8. Go to Brighton: Brighton is a great little town for a weekend trip.
9. Learn in Liverpool: Liverpool has spectacular museums, but the real reason to come here is for the music, for The Beatles.
10. Visit Stonehenge: Stonehenge, located in Salisbury,
11. Relax in Greenwich Park: Considered to be one of London’s largest parks, it is also one of the most beautiful.
12. Hike Hadrian’s Wall: Declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, Hadrian’s Wall has been standing since the 2nd century.

Take in the GORGEOUS Jurassic Coastal Views of the South West - Chill Out
Views of the Jurassic Coast in Dorset and Devon, UK. Photos taken by me, Liz Shewan, whilst chilling out gathering inspiration for my artwork. The soundtrack is a bit windy, but that's just how it is! I hope it encourages you to come to the south coast to spend some time to look around. It's a great place to relax and refresh yourself and everyone is really nice. If you are into Fossil hunting, it'll be heaven for you.

Description: The Pillnitz Castle and park.
Pillnitz palace is an extraordinary ensemble of architecture and landscape gardening, set in the river landscape in front of the vineyards of the Elbe valley. Influenced by East Asian design, the construction of the water and mountain palace in the early 18th century laid the foundations for one of Europe's most significant Chinese style architectural structures. Even today, there are impressive signs of its transformation into the summer residence of the Saxon monarchy.

Sculpture Portland, East Weares, Isla Chaney
Isla Chaney
Untitled
Sculptural interventions
Date & Times: 5 – 14 September, 11am – 5pm daily
Location: East Weares (follow signs from Church
Ope viewing platform, near Rufus Castle towards
East Weares), Portland.
Isla makes intriguing structures that are
contemplative and deliberately ambiguous.
Concerned with the internal architecture of
things they focus on the patterns of growth and
transformation inherent to all natural phenomena.
The walk to Isla’s work on the East Weares will take
you through some of the most breath taking and
unique rocky landscape created through landslips
and quarrying.
Guidance: Isla’s work is situated near the old stone
fisherman’s hut at Durdle Pier on the east side
of the island. Follow the signs from Church Ope
viewing platform, near Rufus Castle. The walk takes
25 mins along a rough and winding path. The site
is not accessible to those with limited mobility.

EMMA Audiobook by Jane Austen | Full Audio book with Subtitles | Part 1 of 2
Jane Austen famously described Emma Woodhouse, the title character of her 1815 novel, as a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like. Yet generations of readers have loved Emma, as much for her blunders as for her wit and vivacity. Emma, handsome, clever, and rich, has nothing else to do but try to pair off her friends, and she consistently mis-reads the relationships and situations around her as much as she mis-reads her own heart. The novel features a wonderful cast of characters, including Emma's hypochondriac father, the odiously prideful Mrs. Elton, the mysterious and reserved Jane Fairfax, and Miss Bates, who never stops talking. (Summary by Elizabeth Klett).

SUMMARY
=======
Bath is the largest city in the county of Somerset, England, known for its Roman-built baths. In 2011, the population was 88,859. Bath is in the valley of the River Avon, 97 miles (156 km) west of London and 11 miles (18 km) south-east of Bristol. The city became a World Heritage site in 1987.
The city became a spa with the Latin name Aquae Sulis (the waters of Sulis) c. 60 AD when the Romans built baths and a temple in the valley of the River Avon, although hot springs were known even before then.
Bath Abbey was founded in the 7th century and became a religious centre; the building was rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries. In the 17th century, claims were made for the curative properties of water from the springs, and Bath became popular as a spa town in the Georgian era. Georgian architecture, crafted from Bath stone, includes the Royal Crescent, Circus, Pump Room and Assembly Rooms where Beau Nash presided over the city's social life from 1705 until his death in 1761. Many of the streets and squares were laid out by John Wood, the Elder, and in the 18th century the city became fashionable and the population grew. Jane Austen lived in Bath in the early 19th century. Further building was undertaken in the 19th century and following the Bath Blitz in World War II.
The city has software, publishing and service-oriented industries. Theatres, museums and other cultural and sporting venues have helped make it a major centre for tourism, with more than one million staying visitors and 3.8 million day visitors to the city each year.
There are several museums including the Museum of Bath Architecture, the Victoria Art Gallery, the Museum of East Asian Art, the Herschel Museum of Astronomy, Fashion Museum, and the Holburne Museum. The city has two universities – the University of Bath and Bath Spa University – with Bath College providing further education. Sporting clubs include Bath Rugby and Bath City F.C..
Bath became part of the county of Avon in 1974, and, following Avon's abolition in 1996, has been the principal centre of Bath and North East Somerset.

Francois du Toit is the South African author of the new, best selling Bible translation: The Mirror Bible, Check out The Mirror Bible (Kindle Edition):
The Incarnation celebrates the fact that the destiny of the Word was not the printed page, but tangible human life! A mirror can only reflect the object; likewise, the purpose of the page was only to reflect the message which is 'Christ in you'. Jesus completes the deepest longing of every human heart.
