#5. York Minster – England’s Largest Gothic Church
York’s cathedral church is one of the finest medieval buildings in Europe. More than 250 years in the building, it is the biggest Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe. The stained glass window on the East Front is as big as a tennis court – the biggest expanse of medieval stained glass in the world.
#4. The Seven Sisters – The UK’s Gleaming White Cliffs
The Seven Sisters are gleaming white cliffs, visible from miles at sea and terminating in a series of gently undulating chalk Downs. They form part of the South Downs in East Sussex, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne in southern England. Compared to the more internationally famous White Cliffs of Dover, the Seven Sisters are more unspoilt. No buildings or developments mar this pristine landscape. But until protected, first by a country park and more recently by being part of the South Downs National Park, they were under pressure and at risk of development.
#3. Windsor Castle – The World’s Biggest House
Perhaps there’s a bigger house somewhere but Windsor Castle, the Queen’s weekend home, is definitely the world’s biggest occupied castle. The castle is notable for its long association with the British royal family and for its architecture. The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror. Since the time of Henry I, it has been used by succeeding monarchs and it is the longest-occupied palace in Europe. During that time, it certainly has spread. The house now covers 13 acres. Besides being the biggest inhabited castle in the world, it’s also one of the most familiar. Fly into London via Heathrow and it will be one of the first recognizably British things you’ll see.
#2. British Museum – Largest Museum of the UK
Established in 1753, the British Museum is a museum in London dedicated to human history and culture. Its permanent collection, numbering some 8 million works, is among the largest and most comprehensive in existence and originates from all continents, illustrating and documenting the story of human culture from its beginnings to the present. The Egyptian gallery boasts the world’s second finest collection of Egyptian antiquities outside Egypt, including the Rosetta Stone, carved in 196 B.C.
#1. Stonehenge – The Archaeological Wonders of United Kingdom
One of the most famous sites and most Iconic Place to Photograph in the world. Stonehenge is the remains of a ring of standing stones set within earthworks. It is in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England. It is surely Britain’s greatest national icon, symbolizing mystery, power and endurance. Its original purpose is unclear to us, but some have speculated that it was a temple made for the worship of ancient earth deities. It has been called an astronomical observatory for marking significant events on the prehistoric calendar. Others claim that it was a sacred site for the burial of high-ranking citizens from the societies of long ago. Archaeologists believe it was built anywhere from 3000 BC to 2000 BC.

074: Relaxed in Reeth (Reeth, Arkengarthdale and Grinton)
YORKSHIRE DALES WALK FEATURING REETH, GRINTON AND REETH SWING BRIDGE
Relaxed in Reeth”
Filmed 28th March 2017
Running time: 20 minutes
There is something about Reeth in Swaledale that makes me feel completely comfortable and relaxed. It may be down to the beauty of the village, its setting, its amenities, or perhaps just the friendliness of the local people. I always feel the same way whenever I visit this part of the Yorkshire Dales, so today I enjoy a walk around the wonderful village and part of the two lovely dales between which it is positioned. During my day I recall an amusing and rather humiliating time I had in Reeth some years previously, which my friends never allow me to forget…..
Filmed in the Yorkshire Dales in the county of North Yorkshire. Locations include Reeth, Grinton and Reeth Swing Bridge.
Written, researched, directed, camera and sound, edited and music by Patrick Leach.
Any other names credited in this film, i.e. Bob Morgan and Martin Roy, are pseudonyms, which I used at the time of making this film. However, I no longer use these pseudonyms as I want viewers to be clear that my films are completely my own work.

Places to see in ( Yorkshire - UK ) Malham Cove
Places to see in ( Yorkshire - UK ) Malham Cove
Malham Cove is a limestone formation 0.6 miles (1 km) north of the village of Malham, North Yorkshire, England. The large, curved feature was formed by a waterfall carrying meltwater from glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age more than 12,000 years ago. Today it is a well-known beauty spot within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. A large limestone pavement is above the cove.
Malham Cove was formed by a large Ice-age river that fell at this point as a cataract. The water drop was 80 m (260 ft) high and more than 300 m (980 ft) wide. The colossal amount of water flowing over the waterfall created the curved shape of the cove because the lip was more heavily eroded than the sides.
Today the water course is marked by a stream that flows out of Malham Tarn 1.5 mi (2.4 km) north of the cove. It becomes a subterranean stream at 'Water Sinks' about 1 mi (1.6 km) before the top of the cove. Another stream named Malham Beck emerges from a cave at the bottom of the cove. The two streams were once thought to be one and the same. However, experiments with dyes have shown that they are two separate waterways that go underground at different locations. Their paths cross without mixing behind the limestone cliff re-emerging a few miles apart. The experiments show that there is complex system of caves and tunnels within the limestone cliff. The system is estimated to be about 50,000 years old. Cave divers, entering the system through the cave at the base of the cove, have so far explored about 1 mi (1.6 km).
The cave systems usually carry away any waters before they reach the fall; however, Malham Cove temporarily became a waterfall for what is believed to be the first time in centuries on 6 December 2015, after heavy rainfall from Storm Desmond.
( Yorkshire - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Yorkshire . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Yorkshire - UK

YORKSHIRE DALES WALK FEATURING REDMIRE, BOLTON CASTLE AND REDMIRE FORCE
Rapids of Redmire”
Filmed 27th March 2017
Running time: 20 minutes
I return to Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales, although on this occasion I visit a different part of the dale. Today’s tour starts in Redmire. The end of the day takes me to a gentler place as I explore the pretty village of Castle Bolton named after its castle…..
Filmed in the Yorkshire Dales in the county of North Yorkshire. Locations include Redmire, Redmire Force, Castle Bolton, Bolton Castle and Redmire Moor.

The Mistress' House, Hunstanton, North Norfolk
A tour of our holiday property in beautiful North Norfolk. Contact us via email to enquiries@norfolkheritageholidays.co.uk.
This characterful 1880s Arts and Crafts house features a turreted staircase and is just a short walk from the beach and other amenities.
The Mistress' House is one of a row and was once part of a larger house. It was allegedly the home to the mistress of one of the Le Strange family who designed and built the resort of Hunstanton in the 19th century. It has been renovated to provide more bedroom space, open plan living and an additional bathroom with an enclosed rear garden and contemporary decking. There is a large, spacious, open plan living/dining room and a 17th-century stone fireplace, with a cosy wood burner for those chilly evenings. The house is situated on quiet Boston Square next to the beautiful Sensory Garden, and just a short walk from the cliff top, beach, shops, restaurants, a deli and other amenities. Don’t forget your bucket and spade, as a beach hut is also available by private arrangement. Three bedrooms, sleeps 6/7, very well-equipped. Shops, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
Hunstanton is a hidden gem, apart from the obvious bucket and spade attraction and the great beach, the architecture is well worth a closer look. Unusually for Norfolk, the beach has both rockpools, great for fossil-hunting, and golden sands. Although in a town location, The Mistress’ House is very quiet and within easy walking distance of everything you need. An ideal place for a family holiday or a short break, at any time of year.

Tidal Bore at Arnside, UK

North Cliffs Failure - Amazing Cliff Collapse caught on Camera!
Active Coastal Erosion in Cornwall. See 'North Cliffs 3hrs Later' video on my channel also. Very lucky to witness 1000's of tonnes of rock falling into the Atlantic!
Thanks for all of your positive comments, sorry I can't reply to them all individually. Hopefully I can answer most of the FAQ's now....
The failure occurred at about 5pm on Friday 23rd September 2011. It took place on the North Coast of Cornwall. There were only a few people watching, with about the same number of inquisitive seals in the water! There were lots of 'small' failures just before the main event. This appears to be a progressive failure, the frequency and size of the smaller failures increased until the inevitable happened. The sound was incredible, those cliffs are about 150-200ft high. I'd been chatting to the couple mentioned in the clip only a few minutes before the footage was taken. They can just be seen walking away in the distance; the path had been fenced off and diverted, so they were quite safe. An amazing sight, and credit to R who took the video, I still can't stop revisiting it! Thanks again for all the comments, who says Geology isn't an exciting subject?!. Oh, & finally..... I'm happy to report that no seals or humans were hurt in the filming of this clip! ACSM(93)
