Visiting Huanglong National Park was a dream come true for Cara. This place had been on my bucket list ever since we moved to China and found out it existed. Yet somehow after living in China for 4 years we never managed to make it there!!! Luckily our route through China went right by Huanglong National Park. Bucket list destination...check!
In short the park was INCREDIBLE. Not only was the scenery out of this world (no that blue water is not Photoshopped, it really looks like that) but Huanglong National Park was absolutely the most pristine place we've ever been to in China.

Jinfo Shan (Golden Buddha Mountain, Jinfoshan, Chin Shan, Jinfushan, Chin fu shan, chin fo shan, Chinese: 金佛山), the highest peak of Dalou Mountains, located in the upper reach of the Yangtze River, is situated in Nanchuan District, the Municipality of Chongqing. Jinfo Shan is an isolated mountain with cliffs up to 300 m surrounding its relatively flat top. Its major vegetation types include subtropical broadleaf forest, coniferous forests and subalpine meadow. Besides typical karst topography of gorges, stone forests and cave systems, Jinfo Shan is well known for its exceptional plant diversity of 4768 seed plants.[1] It is also a refuge to endangered animals confined to karst regions such as Francois Langur Trachypithecus francoisi. With its outstanding karst features and superb biodiversity, Jinfo Shan has been listed as a tentative World Heritage site since 2001.

三里屯位于北京市朝阳区中西部。东起三里屯路，西至新东路，北邻无轨电车二厂，南抵工人体育场北路，因距内城三里而得名。明、清时属顺天府大兴县。作为地片名，泛指左家庄、朝外大街、呼家楼、麦子店合围地域。1962年在地域内建北使馆区，20世纪60～70年代建成外交公寓群，三里屯一带逐渐发展成为驻华外交人员聚居、购物和外事活动的重要社区。地域内有10条纵向、12条横向街巷。新东路和工人体育场东路为首都原迎宾路的一部分。工人体育场北路东段西侧和西段北侧商业、服务业网点密布，三里屯酒吧街是北京夜生活主要场所之一。区域内有塔园外交人员公寓、燕莎友谊商城、外汇免税商店、中国国际商店、三点三服饰大厦等单位。工人体育场北路东段两侧建有城市宾馆、兆龙饭店、麒麟大厦等。
三里屯原为距北京城墙三里地的农舍，因而得名“三里屯”。附近原有老恭亲王与多尔衮的陵墓，由于年代久远而损坏。1952年，北京工业学校（现北京机电研究院）、北京舞蹈学校和北京师范学校迁来此处。1950年代中后期，由于北京开始进行大规模城市建设，许多拆迁户迁至至此地，建立了“幸福村”。其后随着居民人口的增多，先后修建了北京市第八十中学、朝阳医院以及三里屯小学、三里屯一中和三里屯二中。1960年代初期，周恩来总理将此处辟为北京第二使馆区并开始兴建，众多外交公寓相继落成。随着使馆区的兴建，三里屯日益繁华。在1980年代初期，中国第一家合资饭店“兆龙饭店”在此开业。尔后，北京第一间酒吧开设于三里屯南街，1995年三里屯北街开设第一家酒吧，期间酒吧区成名了。
在2008年7月19日，苹果公司在中国北京三里屯Village开设了境内第一间的直营店。
三里屯酒吧街，位于各国使馆及各国际机构驻京机构云集的朝阳区北京第二使馆区内，由此，“外国人很多”已成为该酒吧街一大特色，白领职员、传媒工作者、演艺界人士、潮人也逐渐来往于此。 狭义的“三里屯酒吧街”只包括三里屯北街和三里屯南街，广义的“三里屯酒吧街”则泛指以三里屯为中心的整片地区（北至新源里，西至幸福村，东至东三环，南至东大桥），其中亦散布不少零星酒吧。
