2019 Heart of Ireland with Celtic Tours World Vacations
Travel throughout some of Ireland's most scenic locations, on this 6 night escorted tour. Begin your journey in Dublin and travel west to the charming city of Galway, one of the most unique areas of Ireland to explore. We will discover the barren fields, rugged coastline, and scenic beauty that makes Galway so unique during a panoramic city tour. From Galway, we enjoy a scenic tour of Connemara, a place of contrasting colors and ample wildlife, which offers a warm welcome to visitors. Departing Galway, we venture out to view one of Ireland's top attractions, the Cliffs of Moher. Admire the beauty of the cliffs, which rise 700-feet above the Atlantic Ocean, have to offer, before heading to Killarney, a quaint and charming town full of life. From Killarney, we travel along the Dingle Peninsula and enjoy the magnificent coastal views that Dingle has to offer, before traveling to Blarney, where we have an opportunity to kiss the famed Blarney Stone. Returning back to Dublin, we are provided the opportunity to explore the culture of Dublin's capital through visits to attractions such as the Guinness Storehouse and EPIC Emigration Museum.

Walking in the Irish Countryside
I went for a walk along green lanes in Ireland with not a single person around - mighty fine.
Scenic routes to get there and walking across lanes only traversed by local farmers and animals, fringed by brambles, ferns and harbouring small streams.
I photographed in the Irish countryside, then went for a longer than expected walk along this green road. Quieter, and better for it, than the Dark Hedges in my own part of Ireland.
More images to be found on my website panoramicireland.com/blog - have a look.

Wild Ireland: Glendalough in Autumn, County Wicklow, Ireland
Glendalough (Gleann Dá Loch), meaning 'The Valley of the Two Lakes' is a glacial valley in County Wicklow, Ireland, renowned for an Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin. Situated in the Wicklow Mountains National Park and boasting some of Ireland's best mountain scenery with its deep moody lakes, rushing rivers and tumbling waterfalls, the Glendalough Valley is among the country's top tourist attractions offering incredible walking opportunities. From the 6th century monastic ruins with their iconic round tower near the Lower Lake, to the C19th lead mines at the 'Miners' Village' at the far end of the Upper Lake, Glendalough is a landscape replete with history and heritage. Autumn is one of the finest times to visit as the deciduous trees and bracken turn rich shades of russet, orange and yellow, and the deer rut (mating season) is at its height.
Our circular route took us from the monastic site skirting the western side of the Lower Lake, past the shore of the Upper Lake and along the Miners' Road towards the zig-zag track up to Van Diemen's Land and the Glenealo Valley. From here we followed the boardwalk along the Spinc and the descent to the Poulanass Waterfall, before passing the eastern side of the Lower Lake along another boardwalk back to the monastic site.
Music tracks in this film are:
Alexi Murdoch: Song For You
Nick Drake: Northern Sky
John Butler Trio: Young and Wild
