Wildlife Adventure Vlog Cat Tien Vietnam
This is a vlog of my visit to Cat Tien Naional Park in southern Vietnam from my trip to Vietnam in March of 2018. The park is amazing, with gorgeous views, exotic wildlife, and immense biodiversity. I highly suggest that you go to Cat Tien if you are a birder. Some of the wildlife I saw was Great Hornbill, White-rumped Shama, Siamese Firebacks, Long-tailed Macaque, and crocodiles. I saw all this wildlife while walking and biking around the park on my own and also while on a birding tour with an excellent bird guide named Trong.
Hopefully after watching this video you will be inspired to travel to Vietnam and come to Cat Tien. Vietnam in general is an amazing place for travel for its cheap prices and rich culture, but for a wildlife fanatic it is especially interesting because of the diversity of tropical animals you can see. Throughout the video, I give tips on how to enhance your experience while looking for wildlife at Cat Tien, so be sure to watch until the end!
This channel is for people of all ages who are passionate about exploring nature, viewing wildlife, and learning about the environment. My name is Eddie and I'm a 28-year-old wildlife biologist from California. I have an MSc in Ecology and have been to four continents to seek and study wildlife. I hope to inspire naturalists by providing content that everyday people can use to enhance their experience observing nature in the field. Nature activities I cover are birdwatching, herping, wildlife photography, snorkeling/scuba diving, hiking, ecotourism-travel, and much more. This includes app and gear reviews, tips for spotting and identifying wildlife, travel guides for wildlife tourism, and fun lessons about natural history, ecology, and conservation. Whether you travel across the world or step into your own backyard, exploring nature is always an adventure, so subscribe to immerse yourself in Adventure Education!

The Elkhorn fern is an epiphyte, growing on the trunks and branches of trees. Each plant is composed of a mass of plantlets. A plantlet consists of a nest leaf 12-30 cm wide, lying against the bark of the host tree. The nest leaves of neighbouring plantlets overlap one another. The nest leaves become brown and papery with age, and do not produce spores (they are sterile). Fertile fronds 25-90 cm long protrude from each plantlet. Each frond divides into two segments a number of times along its length. Spores are produced on the undersurface of the end segments of each frond. The spore producing areas are coloured tan brown, and have the texture of velvet cloth.

23 Things To Do In Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) Vietnam
►Read 23 Things to do in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam:
►FREE eBook:
When I was in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), along with eating as much Vietnamese food as I could, one of my goals was to film a travel video about some of the best things to do in Saigon. After putting together a complete list, it turned out to be 23, and I hope this list of attractions will help and inspire you to visit Vietnam’s largest and most exciting city.
1. Binh Tay Market - Binh Tay Market is one of the largest wholesale distribution markets, and a perfect place to go if you’re looking to go shopping in Ho Chi Minh City.
2. Thien Hau Temple (Pagoda) - Located in Chinatown, in District 5, the temple is dedicated to Thien Hau and I really loved the sculptures and the elaborate design of the temple.
3. Museum of Ho Chi Minh City - This museum offers a glimpse into the history and development of the city and Vietnam.
4. Bitexco Financial Tower - This is the tallest building in Saigon, and you can either go to the Skydeck or a cafe at the top for a view of the city.
5. Independence Palace (Reunification Palace) - Probably one of the most well known tourism things to do in Saigon is to visit the Independence Palace, the the former home of the president of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
6. Saigon Cathedral of Notre Dame - With the French influence in Vietnam, the Notre Dame cathedral is a beautiful Catholic church. Attend a service or just visit.
7. Central Post Office - Designed by Gustave Eiffel, the Central Post Office in Ho Chi Minh City is an attraction mainly for its design and architecture. It’s a beautiful building.
8. War Remnants Museum - Although this is not one of the happiest attractions in Saigon, it’s a place to remember and honor the horrible events that are a result of a war.
9. Opera House - Right in Dong Khoi area, and there are still opera shows available.
10. Dong Khoi Street - This is the height of high end shopping in Saigon.
11. Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens - The zoo itself is not too great, but the beauty of the Saigon zoo is the botanical gardens, and the lush gardens, and taking a break from the city.
12. FITO Museum (Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine) - I was quite impressed by the Vietnamese medicine private museum - very interactive and educational.
13. San Art Laboratory – If you love modern art, the San Art Laboratory is a great place to see and visit in Saigon.
14. Turtle Lake at Night - If you’re looking for some things to do at night in Saigon, head to Turtle Lake to chill out, relax, hang out with friends, and eat snacks.
15. Ben Thanh Market - One of the most famous things to do in Saigon District 1 is visit the Ben Thanh Market, one of the major central landmarks of the city.
16. Phu My Hung and Starlight Bridge - Located outside of central Ho Chi Minh City, Phu My Hung is a modern development, and a great place to walk around.
17. Water Puppet Show - Though originally from the north of Vietnam, water puppet shows are popular also in Saigon. I went to the Golden Dragon Water Puppet theater.
18. Museum of Vietnamese History - Probably one of the most extensive and important museum showing the history of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
19. Rooftop Bar - Seeing Saigon from above offers a great perspective.
20. Fine Arts Museum - This was my favorite of all the museums in Saigon. The museum is housed in a well preserved building, and the art is amazing - located right in District 1 across the roundabout from Ben Thanh Market.
21. Jade Emperor Pagoda - Dedicated to the Jade Emperor, the pagoda has a real ancient feel to it, and it’s worth seeing when you visit.
22. Local Wet Market - One of my favorite things to do is visit a local fresh wet market, which you’ll find all over the city. The ingredients, food, and culture, all stand out at fresh markets.
23. Vietnamese Street Food - By my ultimate favorite activity in Saigon is eating street food, and there are an abundance of delicious Vietnamese street foods to sample.
Thank you for watching this video about the top 23 things to do in Saigon, Vietnam. I hope it has given you some great ideas to help you plan your visit.

Some 1,600 islands, thick with greenery, form a maze of channels in the azure waters off northeastern Vietnam. Although people have lived in the region of Ha Long Bay for thousands of years, most of the islands remain uninhabited. But these coves and natural towers are rich with wildlife. For centuries, this spectacular seascape has inspired wonder.
The name Ha Long, Vietnamese for “descending dragon,” is reflected in a legend: Once, when the Viet people faced invasion, a dragon flew down from heaven to their defense. The creature sprayed not only fire, but also jewels that became the green archipelago.
The scientific explanation for the rock formations, known as karst, is also amazing. For millions of years, seashells and sediments fell to an ancient seafloor, forming solid rock. Tectonic activity raised the resulting limestone above water. Rainfall and rivers dissolved exposed rock, and carved valleys that flooded after the last ice age, creating this rare example of a karst field at sea.
Features include lakes and caves through the islands, and notches and tunnels where seawater has worn at the pillars' foundations. The fantastic landscape also continues into two adjacent national parks, on Cat Ba Island and Bai Tu Long Bay.
You can go kayaking, caving, or even take a ride in a seaplane to experience the grandeur of these enchanting tropical islands.

The most beautiful place in Ninh Binh Vietnam - Van Long Nature Reserve
We spent 5 amazing days in Ninh Binh and found one of the most beautiful places we have ever come across. So much peacefulness and tranquility, Ninh Binh was spectacular in our eyes.
For our first stop, we visited Cuc Phuong National Park located in Ninh Binh province. Here we checked out a monkey and turtle rescue center to learn all about the animals from our guide that worked at the rescue center.
Cuc Phuong National Park - Endangered Primate Rescue Center
Address: đường rừng Cúc Phương, Cúc Phương, Nho Quan, Ninh Bình, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8:30–11:30am, 1:30–4:30pm
We then set out to go on a hike to visit a 1,000 year old ancient tree although only one of us makes the journey!
Address: Nho Quan District, Ninh Bình Province 432857, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8am–6pm
So where is the most beautiful place in Ninh Binh, Vietnam? We reckon it's Van Long Nature Reserve. We sat in awe during what we felt was the most beautiful destination of our entire Vietnam trip. Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve was more peaceful than the already awesome Trang An but with the same special breath taking beauty and more wildlife. Van Long was a simply magical destination and a must visit in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
The next day we headed over to the more touristy area Tam Coc and opted to skip the rowboat ride there since we heard it was less enjoyable from a few sources including our own tour guide consultant.
Instead we had lunch at a popular lunch spot - Family Restaurant to get some energy for our final adventure (Thung Nam Bird Park).
Family Restaurant
Address: Ninh Hải, Hoa Lư District, Ninh Bình Province 43000, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 8am–12am
For our final destination we headed over to Thung Nham Bird Park. Entry prices were a little steep comparatively to other tourist activities at 200,000 vietnamese dong however the bird park was very large and well kept. Definitely recommend taking a bicycle over there rather than a scooter so you can cycle around Thung Nham Bird Park and enjoy exploring the sights. Scooters have to be left at the entrance but bicycles can go inside the park.
Thung Nham Bird Park
Address: Thôn Hải Nham, Hoa Lư District, Ninh Bình Province, Vietnam
Hours: Monday - Sunday 7am–6pm
Our private tour operator during our stay in Ninh Binh was Tommy’s Travel Service. Tommy is a Ninh Binh local unlike many of the other Ninh Binh tour operators and he organized an awesome tailored schedule for us. Our driver was the kind Mr. Ha. If you're planning to visit Ninh Binh Vietnam, we highly recommend Tommy's Travel Service. He's a really nice guy too.
This is the final video in our Vietnam series! We hope you've enjoyed following us along on our journey :) Be sure to check out our other videos from Vietnam if you're planning a trip this awesome country.

EXPLORING VIETNAM || the pros and cons of solo travelling • planning a trip to ho chi minh city
Hi everyone and happy new year! In today’s vlog I headed off to Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon) in Vietnam for a 5 day solo trip! It was my first time visiting this amazing city and there was so much food, history & heritage to explore! In this video I share tips on how to solo travel for the first time, and how I go about planning a holiday.
Solo travelling can be a daunting thing (well it was definitely so in my case) as I usually prefer travelling with friends/family but I definitely do see the perks of solo travelling too!
I made some awesome new friends this trip, including fellow YouTuber Kenny who was kind enough to show me around Ho Chi Minh City! (find him here: )
This vlog features my recap of my whole time in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, but I will be releasing a Ho Chi Minh City food focused vlog soon so be sure to subscribe for the best eats of Ho Chi Minh City!

????????AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRES ????????
On a sad (& side) note you might have heard that Australia is currently facing its worst bushfire crisis to date. The bushfires have been going on for more than 50 days, with more than 12 million acres burned (at time of writing), apparently equivalent to the size of U.S. states of New Hampshire & Vermont combined. Almost half a billion animals have been killed and right now the fires do not show any sign of slowing down.
If you’d like to donate to the Australian bushfires I’ve put a few links of organisations you can support below, any amount is greatly appreciated!
???? General Australian Bushfire Assistance ????
• Community Enterprise Foundation Victoria Bushfire Disaster Appeal:
• CFA Australia
• CFS Volunteer Firefighters
• Salvation Army Australia:
• Red Cross Australia:
???? Animal Welfare for animals that have been displaced or injured ????
• RSPCA:
• Zoos Victoria:
• Koalas in Care:
• Port Macquarie Koala Hospital:
Their GoFundMe page post updates on the number of drinking stations they're able to build across the country for affected wildlife and right now it's been increased to 100 drinking stations!
I’ve only listed a few organisations here but I’m sure there are many more out there!
