Murchison Falls National Park Safari - Uganda, Africa 2017
In August, 2017, our charitable organization visited Murchison Falls National Park. Here, our team experienced an incredible sunset and sunrise safari as well as a boat tour of the Nile. I am in awe of the incredible creatures we share this planet with. It is my hope the all humans do their part to preserve, protect, and respect animals so they can be appreciated by many generations that follow us. Please share this video with students, friends, family, or anyone who loves wildlife as much as I do. For more photography from this photographer please visit or follow on Instagram: kylacareswp

7 Natural Wonders of Uganda
The Seven Natural Wonders Organization is currently asking for the public to cast their votes for what they consider to be the 7 natural wonders of Uganda. Let's face it, Uganda is a stunning country which boasts a lot of natural beauty but after some careful consideration, we came up with our list. Here's what we consider to be Uganda's top 7 natural wonders.
#1 - Murchison Falls
The Nile River is a natural beauty on its own but there is no mistaking that to see the mighty river force its way through a 7 metre gap in the rocks and fall 43 metres is a sight to behold. From the top of Murchison Falls the water violently thunders past crashing and surging, blowing a fine mist high into the sky filled with dancing rainbows. The view from a boat below also gives a sensational view of the majestic falls, while surrounded by crocodiles, hippos and other game. Truly a stunner!

#2 - Rwenzori Mountains
The Rwenzori Mountains sometimes referred to as the Mountains of the Moon climb high from the Albertine Rift Valley floor and provide a stunning backdrop to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The highest peaks are permanently snow capped and although they are often surrounded by clouds, you do get the rare opportunity to see their massive existence in full. The Rwenzoris are host to the widest variety of mountain flora in Africa and for this reason, is listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Rwenzori mountains are popular with climbers who trek through rainforest and alpine meadows to the snowcapped Margherita summit at 5109 metres. Some of the many streams high up are also home to trout.

Most tourists who come to Uganda visit more than one destination. You can combine your Queen Elizabeth safari with gorilla trekking safaris in Bwindi, or tour Murchison Falls National Park. For relaxation after your wildlife safari, you can visit Ssese Islands but if you are more interested in adventure, take on rafting on the nile, chimpanzee trekking in Kibale, Rwenzori Mountains climbing and Mount elgon hike.
Queen Elizabeth National Park occupies an estimated 1,978 square kilometres (764 sq mi). The park extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-west and includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes.
The park was founded in 1952 as Kazinga National Park. It was renamed two years later to commemorate a visit by Queen Elizabeth II.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its wildlife, including Cape buffaloes, hippopotami, crocodiles, elephants, leopards, lions, and chimpanzees. It is home to 95 mammal species and over 500 species of birds. The area around Ishasha in Rukungiri District is famous for its tree-climbing lions, whose males sport black manes. Poachers killed six elephants in the park in 2015, triggering both anger and frustration within the Ugandan conservation community.
The park is also famous for its volcanic features, including volcanic cones and deep craters, many with crater lakes, such as the Katwe craters, from which salt is extracted.
Services in the park include a telecenter run by Conservation Through Public Health and the Uganda Wildlife Authority, neighboring the Queen's Pavilion, park lodges, game and scenic drives, and boat launches.

The Uganda Wildlife Education Center
This short film highlights the conservation work of the Uganda Wildlife Education Center in Entebbe Uganda. The center not only serves the country's species as a rescue, rehabilitation and breeding center, but also works within the community to help educate locals about environmental and wildlife conservation issues. The center is also a top destination for tourist visiting the country and looking to have unique wildlife experiences- like getting to interact with orphaned chimpanzees and meet endangered white rhinos! From exclusive VIP behind-the-scenes tours and getting to be a Keeper for a Day, to long stay volunteer opportunities, proceeds from the UWEC's programs help bring in much needed financial support for the non-government funded, self-sustaining center- which in turn allows its dedicated staff to continue safeguarding Africa's wildlife and their habitats.

Rob The Ranger is a proudly South African Youtuber
The purpose of the Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos YouTube channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day.

Boat ride on the Nile to Murchison Falls. Along the way we see many animals such as: hippos, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, crocodiles and immense birds of various colors and sizes.
The approach to Murchison Falls is spectacular, watching the fall of a fantastic angle.
The boat has two guides, one on each floor, which explain the fauna and flora.
Trips are marked in advance, and you can arrange everything in your lodge without any concern.
It's worth a lot, and I advise you to take the afternoon tour to enjoy the sunset on your return.

Kampala, Entebbe, Reptile Village, Murchison Falls and Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda, 2016
A report on our travels in Uganda. We started out with a walking tour of Kampala. I highly recommend this 3 or 6 hour walk which is lead by Zulaika -
In Murchison Falls National Park is located on east and west sides of the Nile river. On the east side it's a rain forest and on the west it's more of a savanna. While at the Murchison Falls we saw a variety of wild animals. Hippos, crocodiles, baboons, elephants, jumping monkeys, monitor lizards and various bugs.
After the falls we returned to Kampala. After a day we took a Post Office bus to Kabale in the south west of Uganda. From Kabale we went to a crater Lake Bunyonyi that is over one mile above see level. The depth of the lake reaches 900 meters (over 2700 feet). Locals who live around the lake get around by canoes that are extremely hard to maneuver. People were very friendly and kids never missed an opportunity to practice their English.
We returned to Kampala and immediately left for Entebbe. We stopped by the Botanical Gardens where the original black and white Tarzan was filmed. In the morning on the day of our flights we visited the Reptile Village. Monitor lizards, crocodiles and chameleons were within reach.
Some of the things we didn't do was mountain and silver back gorilla tracking and chimpanzee tracking.
Overall, Uganda made a great impression on both of us. I highly recommend visiting this amazing country. We are definitely planing to return.

Hippo, Buffalo, Crocodiles, Birdlife, and More! | Kazinga Channel Uganda
I went on a boat safari along the Kazinga channel that links Lake Edward with Lake George in Uganda, the channel is the central feature of the Queen Elizabeth National Park
Hippos, buffalo and crocs are all along the banks along with other wildlife and abundant birdlife. A small fishing village is also situated on the banks and pre-dates the establishment of the park.
