The June Bahtra provides a safe, stable and exceptionally charming platform from which to explore the beautiful Phang Nga Bay, the famous James Bond Island and the remarkable Koh Pan Yee floating village. Propelled both by its striking red sails and a sturdy engine, the journey is as pleasant as the destinations on this cruise.

7 ATV & White Water Rafting in Phang Nga

9 Flying Hanuman
Zip through the jungle canopy 40 metres above the ground at this eco-friendly adventure park in Phuket. Fly between the trees along perfectly safe industrial-strength cables to sturdy wooden platforms where you can learn more about the island’s wild side, including the unique creatures which make the treetops you are exploring their home. It is a very different kind of nature tour, combining high-speed excitement with a fascinating view of a rarely-seen part of the landscape.
10 Coral Island Tour by Speedboat
It’s amazing how hot it can get at 09:00 in the morning. Thankfully, at Chalong Pier there’s plenty of shade and benches on which to sit with a cool drink. There are a lot of people here and their faces – in spite of their wildly differing nationalities – show just three basic emotions. There’s anticipation on foreigner’s faces, determination on the tour guides’ faces and pure bewilderment on children’s faces.
At 09:30 a guide wearing a Coral Island Resort T-shirt leads us down the steps at the beginning of the pier and helps us into a single engine speedboat. Soon, we’re roaring along and leaving a gorgeous wake behind us as we head south, past the headland at Rawai. The view of southern Phuket from the sea is decidedly verdant. You’d never guess what a busy place it can be at times, it looks so peaceful from a distance.

Banana Beach by Phuket Let's Go
Banana Beach is all about nature. It was a stunning place long before any person stood on its shore, and that natural beauty is still there today. So, when you embark on this fantastic daytime activity in Phuket, notice how boat noise is kept to a minimum around the beach and how most boats park out on the water, not on the sand. Watch the fish that swim around curiously in the crystal blue water, and see how the trees hug our buildings and Great Hornbill birds (the inspiration for our restaurant design) fly down from the hillside to have a look around. This is all part of keeping the beach’s identity.
We not only wanted to preserve the character of Banana Beach Phuket, but add to it as well, with respect for its beauty and environment. That is why our buildings make large use of natural tropical materials, such as bamboo, and also take shapes that connect you to Koh Hey’s wildlife. You get to play and rest in nature here without taking anything away from it except some lovely memories of your Phuket sightseeing adventure.
Our Day Trip to Banana Beach is one of the most chillout attractions of our portfolio. It lasts from morning until late afternoon, with quick and comfortable private speedboat rides to and from Koh Hey also known as Coral Island (only 15mn). Here’s is a rough schedule of our daily program :

SOUTHEAST ASIA 2017 | Singapore, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia
In May of 2017, four of my friends and I set off to Southeast Asia for a month long adventure. It was a trip that I had been waiting to do for years and was lucky enough to embark on when my friend Caitlin decided to do her University exchange in Singapore. Her and I planned the itinerary and the others joined on board to follow our plan and experience that part of the world.
This being my first big trip, I was nervous (though likely not as much as my Dad was), but I was also absolutely beyond excited. Again, this trip was one that I had wanted to do for what felt like a lifetime. I grew up with family that lived in China and was lucky enough to visit them in Shanghai at age 12. From that point on, I fell in love with the idea of Asia and was so intrigued with what else I could find on that side of the world. As I left Canada and flew off, I felt a whirl of emotions, from excitement, to nerves, and an incessant curiosity.
I first arrived in Singapore, however my luggage did not. It missed my layover flight and didn’t arrive for a day and a half (just quick enough for me to get it before leaving and heading to Bangkok). I met Nicola in Bangkok for a few days, and soon met the rest of the group in Chiang Mai. We explored Chiang Mai on motorbikes, where I fell and messed up my knee for a few days, but I powered through and got to experience some incredible things such as the water park at the Grand Canyon, a cooking class (something I never thought I’d enjoy), as well as the amazing work at the Elephant Nature Park. Exploring the park with elephants, learning how they work and think, as well as everything they go through on a daily basis at riding camps, logging camps, circuses, and more, was eye opening and heartbreaking. However, the work that is being done at reserves like these is change that is creating a future for these animals and their families. (
We then ventured off to Pai, a small haven in Northern Thailand that captivated my heart immediately. It was relaxing, fun, and intoxicating to be there. After our time in Northern Thailand, three of us ventured off to Luang Prabang in Laos, a small, stunning, comfortable landscape, surrounded by incredible flora and inhabited by locals and monks. We saw the unreal sights of the Kuang Si Waterfalls, Mount Phousi, and relaxed by the Nam Khan River.
We then moved on to Cambodia, a fractured, yet rising society. We could see the lasting effects of their civil war and genocide, though were uplifted by the positivity of its people and just how far the country was coming. We began by exploring the ancient city of Angkor. An unreal place to see to admire the history of such a magnificent country. We then set out to the beaches of Sihanoukville, though not before we visited the site of a killing field; a heartbreaking landscape of what was once exactly that.
After an educational and captivating experience in Cambodia, we joined the rest of our previous group back in Thailand, as well as two others for our last week spent relaxing on islands along Thailands west coast. Beginning in Koh Lanta, Krabi, we explored the baron beaches during their low season and relaxed as a group. We then moved on to Ko Phi Phi to end our trip with an exciting few days of partying, exploring, and a serious lack of sleep.
I knew going into this that this trip would further ignite a fire for travel within me. I had always had it lit but I needed to add fuel. I knew that Asia was a place that had called to me but I didn’t quite know just how much it would effect me. After a month of inconceivable landscapes, truly life-changing and enriching experiences with the people and animals, beyond heavenly food, and the cultures that make up these countries, I was refreshed. With that, I can confidently say that the fire is lit and I’m ready for it to burn.
