Tour Lapland in 7 Days with Unique Nordic Travels
From charming coastal cities to remote Arctic villages, there’s no shortage of epic destinations to visit in Finland, but all those options make it tough to decide where to go and what to do while you’re planning your Finnish adventure. If you’re in the process of mapping out your Finland itinerary — or if you’re just curious to learn a little more about this Nordic nation — you’ve come to the right place! Today, we’re teaming up with Nordic Unique Travels to explore a region that should be at the top of your Finland bucket list: Lapland — and we’re bringing you along for the ride!
When you think of Lapland, you probably imagine snowy slopes and northern lights, but this stunning region truly comes alive during the summer months. Instead of skiing and dog sledding, you can hike through endless expanses of wilderness and view amazing wildlife in their natural habitat. And, since this part of the world enjoys 24-hour sunlight in summer, you can pack your days full of as many adventures as you can handle!
This seven-day tour starts in Helsinki, Finland’s effortlessly cool capital city. Once you’ve had a taste of its top attractions, it’s time to hop on an overnight train and make for the gateway to Finnish Lapland: Rovaniemi. This picturesque city is synonymous with all things winter (it’s the birthplace of Santa Claus, after all), but you’ll see a totally different side to it throughout the summer months. Along with the outdoor activities on offer here — from nature walks to jet skiing — you can also get up-close and personal with Lapland’s most adorable residents: Siberian Huskies!
Next, it’s onto Luosto, a tranquil village nestled in the heart of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The area’s main draw is its pristine natural beauty and breathtaking landscapes, but it’s also famous for its ancient amethyst mine. If you’ve ever wanted to search and dig for your own precious stone, this is the place to do it!
Of course, you can’t visit Lapland without learning about the Sámi people — Finland’s indigenous people — and Inari is the perfect place to do just that. Known as the centre of Sámi culture, you can immerse yourself in the area’s heritage and natural history at Siida, which houses the Sámi Museum and Northern Lapland Nature Centre.
No matter what region you choose to explore, it’s easy to fall in love with Finland. If you can’t wait any longer to experience Finnish Lapland for yourself, head over to TourRadar to check out this itinerary and loads of others just like it!

Join John as he begins his journey in the capital of Helsinki. This city is known for its remarkable architectural designs, beautiful islands, and delicious food. From Helsinki, you can hop onboard an overnight sleeper train to Rovaniemi, which is where Santa Claus lives!
Located in the Arctic Circle, along with exploring the hometown of Christmas' poster boy, you can see reindeer in the wild and the official markings of the Arctic Circle. The beautiful forested nature areas of this region aren't bad on the eyes either. You can even go foraging for a supper of fresh salmon and wild blueberries. The best thing about this part of Finland? You will meet the cutest Siberian Husky puppies and experience a moose safari.
Saariselkä, a resort village in northern Finland, is the perfect spot to see the midnight sun in all its glory. Watch as it barely touches the horizon before rising again. It's truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

OFF GRID IN LAPLAND
We went OFF THE GRID for a while and traveled up North to Lapland in Finland, where we stayed in a cottage in the middle of the forest with a fireplace and a typical Finnish sauna. We spent one night in a glass igloo, saw reindeers and Santa Claus. We were in high need for a digital detox and shut down social media and spend some quality time together in this winter wonderland.
The only husky place we recommend: - responsible husky sledding

FINLAND LAPPLAND IVALO
Flight: DUBAI - HELSINKI - IVALO
4 Days- February 8-11, 2017
Here’s our Honeymoon three parts travel series.
First Part, Welcome to Finland ???????? ! The Land of the Midnight sun. The original plan was a 5-6 European countries but when I found out that our Honeymoon period falls on Aurora season, Fork Yeah! We cut the trip to half and we push through with Finland!
Finland is one of the Scandinavian countries, and part of the Arctic circle which by the way the Northest place we have ever been and one of the best places to see the mysterious Northern Lights- Aurora Borealis.
so here are our highlights
1. To see Aurora on our first night. Man, I’m Awestruck to see this phenomenon for real. I am geeking out that i no longer see them in my science textbooks but on a spectacular HD natural screen. It has to be destiny because it is not showing all night for you. You have to hunt her. Wait her to see her beauty. A major bucketlist tick off!
2. Igloo glass house. We are in the Arctic Circle so these are a must see. You can watch the aurora right above your cozy comfortable glass ceiling. How cool is that.
3. See a Reindeer for the first time. Come on, We are in the North pole where Santa Clause lives so a hi from Rudolf and his friends are crazy!
4. Husky Sleigh ride. This is my favorite breed of Dog. (No hurt feelings Burdigoy). They are cuddly and fluffy and wild. I can only see this ride on movies so yeah I will not let this opportunity pass.
5. Snow Activities. It is Davie’s first time snow experience so I am very happy to share that moment with her. And we are Asian lived on a tropical so when there will be snow it will be gold!
6. Coffee. I am probably Finnish by heart by sharing the supreme love for coffee.
7. Sauna. This relaxing treat origins from the scandinavian countries so fully submerge to the culture We sauna Baby.
8. Culture. Finnish People are so hospitable and kind. Food is a must try!

???? Highlights, landmarks, attractions:
● Lapland - Lapland, also referred to as Lappi Province, is the largest and northernmost region of Finland. It also borders the Gulf of Bothnia, Norrbotten County in Sweden, Finnmark County and Troms County in Norway, and Murmansk Oblast and the Republic of Karelia in Russia.
Lapland's cold and wintry climate, coupled with the relative abundance of conifer trees such as pines and spruces means that it has become associated with Christmas in some countries, most notably the United Kingdom, and holidays to Lapland are familiar towards the end of the year.
The region has been associated with Father Christmas (who is not the same as Santa Claus while sharing many characteristics) since 1927.
● Saariselkä - Saariselkä is a village located in a mountainous area in northern Finland. It is a popular tourist destination, providing activities such as skiing, hiking, and a spa. It is located in Northern Lapland.
Many couples want to have a white wedding in Lapland in the winter when there is snow everywhere. Pyhän Olavin Kappeli (St. Olaf's Chapel) and a small wooden Tievakappeli (Tieva Chapel) near Hotel & Igloo Village Kakslauttanen in Saariselkä have been favorite places for white weddings. Other possible venues include reindeer farms.
● Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort - It is a Finnish hotel and holiday village in the low mountain area of Saariselkä in Sodankylä in the Lapland province of Finland. It lies west of the Urho Kekkonen National Park in the southern part of the mountain area, about 250 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. The distance to Ivalo Airport is approximately 37 kilometers.
Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort is known for its glass igloo, an accommodation option specifically designed for the night sky and the polar sky. There are several options for accommodation, including glass igloo, timbered cottages with fireplace and own sauna or cottages built with a glass igloo, furnished as a bedroom.
● Snowmobile - A snowmobile, also known as a motor sled, motor sled, skimobile, snow scooter, or snowmachine, is a motorized vehicle designed for winter travel and recreation on snow.

Finnish Lapland with Nordic Luxury
Caught somewhere between dreams and reality, There is a place in the Arctic north that is shrouded in rugged beauty and surrounded in ancient mystique. A place of majesty, a place of wonder. A place to unwind, and breath deep. A place to explore and adventure reigniting your passions.
A place shaped by extremes, where man and nature move as one
Where every day offers forth beauty and every moment is a chance to take part.
Here, the ancient survives, deeply embedded in the souls of those who carry the legacies of the old ways. A land where magic and marvel are embraced, where fantasy comes to life.
This is adventure, this is rest. This is thrill, this is wonder.
