Fiji is an island country of Melanesia located the South Pacific Ocean northeast of New Zealand's North Island. Its closest neighbors are Vanuatu, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tonga, the Samoas, Tuvaly & Wallis and Futuna Islands.
Where to go on vacations?
Fiji has 3 main islands; Taveuni, Vanua Levu & Viti Levu, the main one where you will most probably land from. The 3 islands and islets around them all have their charm, for instance, Taveuni is nicknamed 'the garden of Fiji' thanks to its luxurious jungle that covers most of the island.
Fiji People
Fijians are a bunch of awesome people & we've rarely encountered such genuine and loving personalities everywhere we went. It has a rich history with early settlers arriving 3,000 years ago. In more recent times, it became a colony of the English Empire and part of the CommonWealth. If you are in seek of a true hidden gem community, head to the village of Nakabuta which hots a few families only and a great spirit. There you can buy their potteries and help the village a little. You can head by yourself by hitchhiking from Sigatoka nearby or contact Aqua Tours Fiji to organise a tour for you, more info:
Fiji points of interest:

Sigatoka River Safari B Roll Coral Coast Fiji
Just one of the many activities to be had on a road trip along the Coral Coast in Fiji.
The Coral Coast is an 80 km (50 mile) stretch of stunning coastline on the southern shores of Viti Levu, the largest island of the Fijian archipelago. It is ideal for a road trip between Nadi and Suva, the two largest towns on the island, especially if you'd like to get away from the hustle and bustle of these busier resort towns.
Take a detour from the main highway to experience Sigatoka River Valley where you'll find adventure, wildlife, nature and culture. Or head to Sigatoka town for shopping, arts, crafts and to meet locals. Don't forget the Sigatoka Sand Dunes where you can take a walk, go on a guided tour to see old archaeological sites and ancient Lapita artefacts or go bird watching.

Kula Eco Park - Korotogo & the Sunset Strip Island of Viti Levu, Fiji Flight Centre
Kula Eco Park - Korotogo & the Sunset Strip Island of Viti Levu, Fiji Flight Centre
Take a walk on the wild side with the flora and fauna of Fiji's Kula Eco Park. Situated on the Coral Coast of the main island of Viti Levu, the wildlife sanctuary is a showcase of the furry, the feathered, the aquatic and amphibian in the South Pacific. The park traverses hillside and valley forests and seasonal streams through walk-through aviaries and animal displays which you can explore from the extensive wooden walkways to the elevated path through pristine rainforest. All around you the sounds, smells and sights of nature entice and enthral. The majority of the inhabitants of the park are hundreds of species of colourful birds such as parrots and doves in the most amazing primary hues. There's also iguanas, lizards and boa constrictors which you can handle; tropical fish, turtles and soft corals in an aquarium and flying foxes. Time your visit just right and you can also feed the sea turtles by hand at 11am, 1pm and 3.30pm daily. This colourful cacophony of creatures is complemented by the lush botanical gardens with a mix of local floral, fruit and medicinal plants and trees. The ecological reserve has also established captive breeding programs for some of Fiji's endangered wildlife species, and this popular attraction has won many awards for tourism, as well as raising awareness about the environment, ecosystem and nature conservation.Entry to Kula Eco Park is FJ$26 for adults and FJ$13.50 for children which directly funds the attraction. The park is located across the road from Outrigger on the Lagoon resort. To visit from the nearby town of Sigatoka, Kula Eco Park is a seven-minute taxi or car ride and 8km away.
