Decidimos salir a caminar por este parque, ya que vimos en internet que tenia unas estatuas de elefantes y nos llamo la atencion.
Langfang's Nature Park
Only an hour from Beijing is Langfang. Not famous at all by Chinese standards, Langfang does have its sites. One of these sites is the Nature Park which is quite large. We took a lovely ride through this park and met some locals from Hebei Province who were posing atop some beautiful elephant sculptures near a grassy knoll.

We were walking home from dinner on our last night in China when I decided to join a group of dancers on Xin Kai Lu (street) near our apartment.

Langfang is the first town we visited after leaving Beijing. We hooked up with some of Fangs friends and went to KFC.
Beijing struggles to make Olympic changes permanent
Many improvements accompanied the Beijing Olympics. Air pollution temporarily improved, as did traffic congestion. The city's Olympic facilities were the showcase of a modern China.
Now, one year after the Games, the city is struggling to make those temporary improvements more permanent.
To reduce sulphur dioxide emissions, Beijing will move a major steel plant outside of its borders. It is also revisiting traffic restrictions that could reduce congestion by up to 20 per cent during the week. As for the city's Olympic facilities, keeping those looking sparkling new will depend on new business models to keep visitor traffic coming.

I take a trip from Beijing train station to Langfang.
Langfang-a new city of China
Langfang is located in the center of HeBei Province, with a jurisdiction over two districts, six counties and two county-level cities. The city covers a land of fifty-four square Kilometers and has a frequent population of 50.000, with a registered population of 400,000.
God-given location: Lanfang is in the center of Bohai-Rim area and between the two big cities of Beijing and Tianjin. All the ten counties under its jurisdiction are close to the two big cities, with the Beijing_Tianjin_Tanggu Express across the city area. The downtown is 38Km away from Beijing and 60 Km away from Tianjin and 40 minutes drive to The Capital Airport and less than 1 hour drive to Tianjin Airport and Tianjin Port which is the largest in China. Around Langfang there are more than 30 national railways, expresses and high roads, so it has become one city with many railways and roads. The railway for the light trains just between Beijning and Tianjin has an entrance in the north of Langfang; The second Beijing_Tianjin_Tanggu Express is planned to run across the city in the north; The planned express railway between Beijing and Shanghai is going to run across the city. The planned second international airport will be located in Langfang, too. In the radius of 500 Km around Langfang, there are 11 cities with a population of 1 million for each and a frequent population of 2 billion in all. Langfang is a golden area for its heavy industry and population, collected cities and developed business and trade, and large market and potential purchasing ability. This admirable location and convenient transportation offers a big potentiality for its further development.
Perfect environmental construction: Lanfang tries to develop a comfortable environrnent for investment and living according to the plan of garden-style, ecotype and modernization. In the planned construction area, it has finished the basic installations with multi-functions, with an ideal Ten Passes and One Level. Its environmental protection takes a leading place with 42% of green coverage in the downtown area, and 12 square meters of green land for each person on average. The air quality in Langfang has been improving all the time and now it can see 330 days with an air quality of level 2. 95% of the garbage can be disposed without pollution. 90% of houses and families can use the natural gas. Langfang has passed the IS014001 Environmental Administration System and this is a leading action in the country. In Langfang, there are national districts for export processing, storages for the tax-free products, inspecting institutions for the imported and exported products, so it becomes very easy and convenient to go through the customs. The administration with a system of One-Stop service in Langfang is very simple, flexible, efficient, realistic and friendly.
The rich human resources: In Langfang, there are 13 national scientific research institutions, more than 50 colleges and universities and many training schools, with more than 100,000 college students on study , that is to say, there is a college student in four just in the downtown of the city. Moreover, there are more than 200 colleges and 1,000 scientific research institutions in Beijing and Tianjin, so it enjoys rich human resources.
The active and potential economy: Langfang is famous for its distinct special industry, with six main industries of E-information, machinery construction, eco-medicine, food-processing, new materials, conference and traveling. The investment cost is very low and the cost for business and life is just one third of that in Beijing and Tianjin. The cost for labor just one tenth, one fifteenth, one thirtieth and one forties of that in Korea, Japan, Europe and America respectively. In the four provincial development zone of Langfang, Yanjiao Bazhou and Xianghe, many foreign investors from 40 countries and thousands of famous companies including 20 of the top 500 of the world companies in the world have come to invest.
The improving fame: In the past few years, Langfang has wined many awards such as those for The Outstanding Traveling City, The Model City for Environmental Protection, The Leading City for Scientific and Technological Development, The Reliable City for Investment and The model for Living Environment. Many business activities have chosen Langfang for their sites, for example, 5.18 Business Festival for North-East Asia and Bohai-Rim, 10.18 Trade Fair for Agricultural Products, The International Financial Forum and the G20 Conference for the Financial Ministers and Central Bank Presidents. So in this way, Langfang is becoming more and more famous in the country and in the world.
