Naukuchiatal or lake of nine corners is a small hill station in Nainital district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The lake is 175 feet deep and is situated at 1,220 m above sea level. It is surrounded by hills covered in trees and shrubs. It is the deepest of all the lakes in the Nainital region. The length of the lake is 983 m, its breadth is 693 m and it has a depth of 40.3 m. Within the valley are opportunities for angling and bird watching. Other activities include parasailing, paragliding, fishing, rowing, paddling or yachting.The lake is fed by an underground perennial spring. Naukuchiatal is also known for the 'escape festival' which happens once every year (in the month of May).

Reaching the Nukuchiatlal gives a very pleasure, through the mountains of green roads and winding roads. Nukuchiyatlal is situated about five kilometers from Bhimtal and about 26 km from Nainital.
This rhythm is about 1 kilometer long with nine corners. It is said that it is impossible to see its nine corners at once, only seven corners can be seen at one time.
There is a taxi stand on the banks of the lake and a small market, which has food and restaurants shops and restaurants. There are many beautiful hotels to stay here and there is also a boat stand for boating in the lake. Here in the tranquil atmosphere of the lake, seeing the lake gives a unique and wonderful feeling in itself.
पहाड़ों के हरे-भरे रास्तों और घुमावदार सड़क से होते हुए, नौकुचियाताल में पहुंचना बेहद सूकुन देता है। भीमताल से नौकुचियाताल करीब पांच किलोमीटर और नैनीताल से करीब 26 किमी० दूर स्थित हैं।
यह ताल लगभग 1 किलोमीटर लंबा है जिसके नौ कोने हैं। कहते हैं कि इसके नौ कोनों को एक बार में देखना असंभव है, इसके सिर्फ सात कोनो को ही एक बार में देखा जा सकता है।
झील के किनारे पर टैक्सी स्टैंड है और एक छोटा सा बाजार भी, जिसमें खाने-पीने के रेस्तरां और फोटोग्राफी की दुकाने हैं। यहां ठहरने के लिए कई खूबसूरत होटल और झील में बोटिंग के लिए एक बोट स्टैंड भी मौजूद है। यहाँ पहाड़ों के बीच शांत वातावरण में झील के दर्शन करना अपने आप में निराला और अदभुत अहसास देता है। पानी से लबालब भरी झील में ठंडी हवा के चलने से बनी हल्की लहरें, झील की सुंदरता में चार-चाँद लगा देती हैं। झील के पानी में दूर-दूर तक तैरती रंग-बिरंगी नावें ऐसी लगती हैं जैसे किसी ने नीले कागज पर तरह-तरह की रंग-बिरंगी बूंदे डाल दी हो।

Bhimtal Nainital
The small town of Bhimtal is famous as a lake resort. It offers to the tourists a quiet vacation and facilities for water sports. This beautiful town also attracts hundreds of tourists every year by its peaceful green surroundings.
Location
Bhimtal is located in the northern part of the state of Uttar Pradesh, in the northern region of India. It is located at an altitude of 1,371 m above sea level amongst the Kumaon hills. It is 23 km from Nainital. The weather in Bhimtal is alpine. Summers (April-June) are mild and winters are cold (November-February). It experiences southwestern monsoon rains in July-September.

The best time to visit Bhimtal is from mid-April to mid-July and from mid-September to October.
History
The origin of this small town is obscure. Bhimtal got its name from Bhim, one of the legendary personalities and central characters mentioned in the Indian epic of Mahabharata.

The main tourist attraction of this small hill station is its lake. It is one of the largest lakes in the district of Nainital. The lake offers scope for boating to the travelers. In the middle of the lake, there is a beautiful island with a restaurant. The island provides a panoramic view of the lake as well as its luxuriant surroundings. Travelers can also explore the region around the lake and take a walk through the quiet forest surrounding the lake. There is a large Victorian dam at one end of the lake and terraced flower gardens can be found on either side. Bhimtal is also known for its lovely dappled paths, ravines festooned with dog rose and wild raspberry. Farmhouses are set among terraced fields and citrus trees laden with fruits. There is a Folk Culture Museum in Bhimtal, which is a private institution. It has a good collection of artifacts and information about the hill districts of Uttar Pradesh. The collection includes ancient wooden artifacts, information about traditional rites, rituals, stone implements, and items of archeological importance. It also houses a sizable collection of reproductions and photographs of rock art.

Naukuchiatal is 4 km from Bhimtal. It is a lake having nine corners. Like Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal also has quiet verdant environs, which attracts the traveler to it. This tree-fringed lake is good for boating.
Sat Tal (literally seven lakes) is 7 km from Bhimtal. It is another important place to visit. Sat Tal was originally a cluster of seven lakes, out of which two have dried up. It is famous for fishing and boating. The densely wooded hills and little creeks along the shores of the lakes are a perennial attraction to the tourists. Godhakhel Temple is 3 km from Bhim Tal.
