Meet Weihai
Situated in the eastern Shandong province of China, Weihai is a major seaport and attraction to tourists from all over the world. Bordering the Yellow Sea to the East, this stunning city is surrounded by water on three sides and protected by Liugong Island, a visitor-friendly island that used to be the navy base during the Qing dynasty.
In 1895, the Japanese captured Weihaiwei port, known as the Battle of Weihaiwei and the last major battle of the First Sino-Japanese War. The Japanese evacuated in 1898 and the British came into control from 1898 to 1930. In 1949, Weihaiwei City was renamed Weihai City after the Communist Revolution.
Today, Weihai is a lively city filled with a wonderfully rich culture and history. From islands and parks to war memorial museums and more, Weihai is becoming a must-visit city in China for all.

Sand Sculpture Festival Opens in Weihai
East China's Weihai Nanhai New District becomes a lively place for tourists to celebrate the beautiful sunshine and beach thanks to the 10th Sand Sculpture Festival, which opened on Saturday with more than 100 sand sculptures displayed during the festival.
The sand sculpture exhibition is divided into different areas, with each boasting a different theme. In the west area, 12 sand sculptures built to mark the 30th anniversary of Weihai’s establishment and the 10th anniversary of Weihai Nanhai New District’s development has boosted tourists’ sentiments.
These various sculptures show the development history of Weihai’s city construction and different industrial projects, as well as the harmony between human and nature. I feel so proud after seeing these sculptures, said Dong Jiawei, a tourist.
I feel so overwhelmed. I think it is very innovative to show the 30 years’ development and changes of Weihai in the form of sand sculptures. I will come here every year to watch the festival. It’s awesome, said Dong Shumei, another tourist.
In the east area, a sand castle park is built under the theme of blessing, pay, longevity, happiness and fortune, providing various kinds of recreational activities.
This year’s theme is 'blessing, pay, longevity, happiness and fortune'. I like this theme, so I take my family, children and students here to be blessed and get some luck, said Zhu Hongwei, a tourist.
This is the 10th sand sculpture festival. We come here every year. We hope this festival will be better and better! said Song Zongshan, another tourist.
The first Sand Sculpture Festival made its debut in 2008, and since then, the festival has become a symbol of Weihai tourism.

Qingdao Zhan Bridge(青岛栈桥), China (GALAXY NOTE4 4K Video)
In the morning, 9 October 2017
Qingdao Zhan Bridge(青岛栈桥 Qingdao Zhan Qiao).
Qingdao City(青岛市), Shandong Province, China.
Zhan Qiao (Chinese 栈桥, loading pier) pier is at the southern shore of Qingdao off Zhongshan Road. This now 440 metre (1,443.6 ft) long strip stretches into the sea and was the first wharf at Qingdao. An octagonal pavilion called the Billowing Back and Forth Tower (huilan ge), loosely translated, stands at the end of the pier and was constructed in 1930. The pier itself was started in 1891 and frequently enlarged. Zhan Qiao Pier is viewed in the eyes of many as the official symbol of Qingdao as it was made famous by being placed on the label of the Tsingtao Brewery beer bottles and the front of cans.
Also in the vicinity of Zhan Qiao Pier is the small Qingdao Island (Xiao Qingdao), the Qingdao Navy Museum, and many neighborhoods featuring German colonial architecture. The coastline lights up at night with spotlights on nearby buildings and several neon billboards.

Hunchun in China near the border with North Korea
Yet, most people are less concerned about the North Korean tests than on the threat of war language of President Trump. North Korea threatening to invade if China does not ensure that the country stop its nuclear program.
Ordinary people do not like war, said fishmonger Yu Chenghai. He has hundreds of North Koreans employed. If there is war, we can not do business. We'll just fish trade with North Korea. If all the North Koreans are going to fight in the war, who catches crabs there for me?
Nuclear testing? Since the government is about.
Resident of Hunchun
In a special economic zone residents Hunchun may deal with North Korea, but that trade threatens to disappear China is put under pressure to impose tougher sanctions to stop North Korea with their nuclear program.
The people see the bleak, but would rather not talk openly about it. If you talk too much about it, you can still get into trouble too. Right? Said a knife sharpener. Nuclear testing? Because the government is about. That's not something that ordinary people can understand or explain.
Of course I'm not happy with it, says one woman. I want peace. Peace and happiness is good. If there is a war ... But she does not dare to talk further. Okay, stop the shooting.
Or North Korea or not making nuclear weapons that ordinary people can not decide. Yet?
Yu Chenghai, fishmonger
The residents fear at the border that they presented with the bill for the international tournament. It is the ordinary people who suffer, said fishmonger Yu. Why would you punish ordinary people? Or North Korea or not making nuclear weapons that ordinary people can not decide. Right?
Nucleaire testen?
Nucleaire testen?
Toch?Beautiful places to travel to game :
