歴史の息吹が残り、豊かな自然に恵まれた茨城県古河市。旅行者はまず、自然の物を使って生活に彩りを加える、玩具作りの草遊びを体験します。講師の指導のもと、なんとか作り上げ、旅行者は満足げな様子。講師にお礼とお別れを告げた後はネーブルパークへやってきます。パーク内を巡り歩き「ポニー牧場」にてポニーとふれあいます。その後、お腹をすかせた旅行者は「和田家」を訪れ、川魚料理 （鮒の甘露煮）を堪能した後、古河市観光案内所へ向かい、観光ボランタリーガイドと落ち合って街並み巡りに出かけます。各所を巡り、「篆刻美術館」にやってきた旅行者は美術館内を見学し、展示品の数々を興味深そうに眺め、学習室にて篆刻の制作を体験。篆刻の奥深さに触れます。その後、美術館を後にし、杉並通りを通って日光道中古河宿道標にたどり着き、街並み巡りのコースを巡り終え、旅行者の古河市の旅が終わります。

Jap/Snap – Koga Lantern Festival
Every year, the city of Koga, Japan has a festival where teams build gigantic lanterns and fight them against others by bashing them together. The city builds a giant wooden cage to enclose the fighting, with the competitors on the inside and the spectators on the out. The goal is to get the other team's lantern caught in flames, and the team with the final intact, still lit lantern is the winner. In the pit, teams use support beams to gain momentum and ram their lantern into another, all the while being pelted by wax and other debris from the collateral damage.
Its like the Kite Runner of Japan, and its awesome.

Japanese traditional festival - Koga chochin fighting festival (2/4)
Fighting to extinguish the competitor's chochin (Japanese lanterns) fires on the top of a long bamboo pole.
This festival is an annual event held on the first Saturday night in December in front of Koga train station in Ibaraki prefecture. In 2011, this festival was held on December 3rd.
To get there: take Shonan-Shinjuku railway bound for Utsunomiya, approximately 50 minutes to one hour from Shinjuku.

Koga Family Land was an amusement park in Japan! The park officially closed and it was left to decay. - 甲賀ファミリーランドは、日本のアミューズメント ・ パークだった!公園は正式に閉鎖し、腐るにまかされていた。
