6-20-15---Scranton pools, Nay Aug Park, Scranton, PA. - the staff are not doing a very good job as life savers, kids are pulling each other and the staff are catching flies on their jobs this day the live savers are playing with the buttons of the slide that on this day, the water shot off of the slide that has a drop of about 30 feet to the ground and it is a very dangers thing to do having a staff that plays around with these buttons and with the lives of others by catching flies and playing with the buttons of the slides. the mayor needs to put some employees that do not behave this way and do not play with the life of others. as I'm taking this video, the staff there are more worry about getting their 15 seconds of fame looking at my camcorder and trying to post for it, and catching flies and joking with the swimmers, than putting attention watching the pool for people to be save and their surroundings as they getting pay for. and the supervisor there seems like he does not notice it or he is giving them a brake to play with the life of the swimmers by pretending that he does not noticed and just turns the other way.

Today we explored Nay Aug park in Scranton. What many people do not know is that Nay Aug was once home to an amusement park called Luna Park. It ran from 1906 to 1916, and was once considered state of the art. Now there is only memories left. Enjoy the video!

Hallowfest at Nay Aug Park in Scranton on Oct. 24

A brand new Halloween-themed rock/metal outdoor festival called Hallowfest has been announced for Saturday, Oct. 24 at Nay Aug Park in Scranton, featuring music, art, food, and more.

The event is free and open to the public, though it is not an event marketed towards children. Kids are welcome, but there will not be children’s crafts or activities at Hallowfest, unlike many outdoor festivals in Northeastern Pennsylvania earlier this year. Face paint and costumes are encouraged.

Each band is slotted for 45-60-minute sets. The lineup contains all local acts with the exception of the headliner, Abstruktor, from Boston:

1 p.m.: The Kids Laughing at Pedestrians – The KLAP
2 p.m.: Blue Coal
3 p.m.: Cell-13
4 p.m.: Sucker
5 p.m.: The Haunting
6 p.m.: Earthmouth
7 p.m.: Abstruktor
