South Coast NSW beach trip!!! Huskisson, hyams beach and Abrahams Bosom Beach!!!
We drove a little over 3 hours out of Sydney on Australia day long weekend and ended up on the South coast of NSW. First stop was Abrahams Bosom beach, which had water so calm, it was like floating in a giant pool.
We then headed down to Hyams beach. Which supposedly has whitest sand in the world. It did not disappoint! Sand so white, it was blinding, and so fine that it squeaks under your foot. What an amazing beach.
The next day, we decided to head down to Huskisson. This little seaside town makes me imagine what australia must have been like maybe 20 years ago. Nice little board walk right at the water front with a couple of restaurants and a couple of places to hire kayaks. The most amazing sandbar is only meters away, would be a great place for a picnic and a swim. Maybe next time. Hope you enjoy the video ????

About Nelson Bay :
Nelson Bay is a coastal resort town of approximately 5000 people located just inside the mouth of Port Stephens, a large natural harbour. Despite its growing popularity the town, treads a sensible line between tourism and charm. Nelson Bay, the largest town of the Port Stephens area, is 209 km north of Sydney via the Pacific Highway, 69 km from Newcastle by road and 18 m above sea-level.
The origin of the town’s name is not known. It may have derived from the boat the Lady Nelson used by Governor Macquarie in 1812 when he came to visit the Port with an eye to establishing a settlement which never eventuated.
A group of Chinese fishermen established a base here early in the 19th century. They cured their catch and sent it back to China and to Chinese merchants in Sydney and Melbourne.
The first survey of Nelson Bay was carried out in 1874. A post office and school were established in 1883. By 1886 there were about 30 residents. The villagers led a rather peaceful life based around fishing (still important to the local economy) until developers arrived in the late 1960s.
Nelson Bay Today
Today Nelson Bay has everything the visitor could want as far as facilities and aquatic recreation goes.
The diving and snorkelling here is exceptional. Just east of Nelson Bay, the tiny promontory of Fly Point is an aquatic reserve with prolific marine life. Divers have another superb site just off the coast at Broughton Island, with such outstanding features as the ‘Looking Glass’, a split that runs through the middle of the island,

Sydney Weekend Getaway | Nelson Bay | (2018)
Hey Angels!
I hope u enjoy and I wanna thank you in advance for watching this video!!!
Nelson Bay is a popular weekend getaway for Sydneysiders, it is located around 200kms from Sydney and is popular for amazing beaches, aquatic activities, sand dunes and a unique and small shell museum and few of its collection is about 200 years old. However we could not do activities as planned due to rains but were lucky enough to do something at least.
With 26 beautiful beaches, Port Stephens is perfect for a beach holiday. You’ll find plenty of soft sand, sheltered bays and surf breaks. Enjoy lovely strolls, glorious sunrises and majestic sunsets, and keep an eye out for the resident bottlenose dolphins frolicking in the sparkling blue marine park.
Swimming, snorkelling, surfing and fishing are popular water sports. There are surf schools, and you can also try sailing, parasailing, stand-up paddleboarding, jet-skiing and kayaking on the bay. Or join Port Stephens Mountain Bike Adventures on a guided tour and explore the picturesque coastline.
Shell museum is one of the three shops left in NSW it was opened in 1960s and and displays of rare and lovely shells, which is nearly around 33,000 shells for display.
If you do happen to visit Nelson Bay then this small museum/shop is must visit and trust me guys you will be amazed with the unique collection it has.
