The great freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose was born in Cuttack. His parental home is situated in the Oriya Bazar. #Netaji spent his childhood at his ancestral home. Now the home has been converted into a Museum which is known as Netaji #Birthplace Museum. The museum is an L-shaped building and has a temple at the backside courtyard. The house was reconstructed and was announced as a museum officially in 2007. The rooms have been transformed into galleries where you will find different photographs of the Subhas Chandra Bose. You will find photographs of all the stages of Netaji including his childhood, freedom struggle and other important achievements.The furniture used by his family has also been housed in the museum. When visiting the library, you will find 22 original letters written by Netaji himself. Apart, you will get to see books, autobiography, biography, documents, journals, Vedas and Upanishads. The birthday of Netaji is celebrated with great pomp and show on 23 January at this museum. During your visit to this museum, you will get a glimpse of ancient India during the struggle for freedom.

For this purpose he joined hands with stalwarts such as Jawaharlal Nehru and Mohandas Gandhi, but expressed his frustration, especially with Gandhi's slow and painstaking way of trying to win over the enemy with love. It is for this reason, he decided to separate from the Congress Party. The British became weary of him, placed him under arrest, but when he started a hunger strike unto death, they let him go, but kept him under surveillance. Subhas eluded the police, under the guise of Pathan Mohammad Ziauddin, crossed the Indian border in Afghanistan so that he could enter Russia and form an Indian Army to oust the British. His efforts failed, he ended up as Italian Orlando Mashtar, with an office in Germany. This movie is an out and out biographical war film about the Hero, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
