Königsberg

Heute vor 65 Jahren, am 04.07.1946, wurde Königsberg in Kaliningrad umbenannt.

Lasst uns einmal heimfahren.
Zu unserer alten Stadt.
Als wäre sie noch am Leben.
Als wäre der Weg zu ihr frei.
Als sehen wir von fern schon
ihre steilen Türme in den Himmel steigen.
Als fänden wir sie wieder.
Unverloren und unversehrt.
Und alles wäre wie einst.
Stadt der Geschichte
und des Schicksals.
Auf ausgebautem Brückenkopf.
Im Grenzland des Ostens.
Von Rittern errichtet.
Durch seine Zeit von Kriegen umbrandet.
Von Feinden besetzt.
Und wieder befreit.
Von Bränden und Seuchen verheert.
Und wieder erstanden.
Immer sich der Ehre bewusst.
Und auf seine Stärke vertrauend.
Stadt des Geistes.
Auf entlegenem Posten.
Stätte der Wissenschaft.
Heimstatt der Kunst.
Wiege und Heimat manches großen Namen.
Stadt der warmherzigen, klaren ostpreußischen Menschen.
Stadt des Humors,
der Gastlichkeit
