East Boldre Community Hub
Here's are some exciting ideas for the East Boldre Village Hall in the New Forest. A fantastic COMMUNITY HUB hub built into the old WW1 airfield's Officers Mess building.
The ideas in this film are subject to official approvals and planning permission, so if your want to get involved in making this an amazing building, get in touch: ebvillagehall@gmail.com
The new concept includes an upgraded theatre, a new community shop, school bus stop, new changing rooms, a new function /meeting room.
All of this will incorporate a historical theme, all about how the building used to be part of one of the first ever flying schools in the UK, and then a WW1 aerodrome.
Thanks so so much to all of the fabulous performers and helpers from the local community who helped make this film happen!

Gerry Salisbury at Chats Palace - All The Things You Are
Recorded at Chats Palace, London on 31st August 1980
Gerry Salisbury (cornet)
Willie Garnett (saxophone)
Max Britain (guitar)
Clive Bracy (drums)
Ken Rankin (drums)
This is a non-commercial recording shared here with the agreement of Gerry Salisbury.
Chats Palace was founded in 1976 to provide arts and education opportunities to the local community, when the Homerton Library moved to a new building a few yards down the road. The former library building was appropriated by members of the local community who wanted to ensure that the Grade II listed building, donated to Hackney in 1913 by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, remained in community hands and ‘For the Betterment of East Londoners’. .... In the 1970s when many arts centres were being established (including Roundhouse Camden, Warwick Arts Centre and the Barbican Centre), Chats Palace was unusual because it origins were rooted in the demands of a working-class audience. Joan Littlewood’s vision for a People’s Palace played a role in the naming of Chats, chosen because it resonated with Littlewood’s People’s Palace and as a tribute to the Palace cinema that had existed on Chatsworth Road’.

A Major New Art Exhibition Has Been Installed At Salisbury Cathedral
This week, a major new exhibition has been installed at Salisbury Cathedral. It’s been designed by Richard McLester, and will see a giant illuminated globe suspended from the centre of the building.
The creators are hoping it will act as a point of reflection for the city, after the events of earlier this year.
Ahead of the ambitious project, which launches on Wednesday night with a performance inside the Cathedral, we caught up with Richard to hear more about what’s coming.

#london #londonbridge #uk #travel
London City, United Kingdom is the most beautiful modern metro city. The London Bridge is one of it's main tourist attraction including huge giant wheel named Coca-Cola London Eye.
Given below is short intro about
London city...
London, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, is a 21st-century city with history stretching back to Roman times. At its centre stand the imposing Houses of Parliament, the iconic ‘Big Ben’ clock tower and Westminster Abbey, site of British monarch coronations. Across the Thames River, the London Eye observation wheel provides panoramic views of the South Bank cultural complex, and the entire city.
Sir Christopher Wren’s 17th-century St. Paul’s Cathedral towers above ‘The City’, where London’s global Stock Exchange conducts its business. Royal sites include Buckingham Palace, housing the monarch's main residence and offices, and the Tower of London, a former prison that’s home to the Crown Jewels. The British Museum, National Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern explore local and international history and art. West End theatres present classic and cutting-edge drama. Covent Garden, Soho and Spitalfields Market are popular dining and shopping areas. Major public spaces include Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath.

Operation Nightingale: Time Warriors
'Operation Nightingale: Time Warriors' follows the progress of an exciting archaeological excavation on Salisbury Plain. This dig was conducted by the army with help from Wessex Archaeology as part of Operation Nightingale, a military initiative to use archaeology in the recovery of injured soldiers.
This documentary was created by young people from Salisbury as part of Project Florence. The 14-18 year old volunteers were trained by professional filmmakers to film, edit and produce the movie, and have achieved their Bronze Arts Awards as a result.
To find out more about Project Florence visit florence.opnightingale.co.uk.
This film has been produced by Wessex Archaeology working in collaboration with the Salisbury Arts Centre, the British Army and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, and has been kindly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

UK: Magna Carta returns to display at Salisbury Cathedral after theft attempt
Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe
One of the four original copies of the 1215 Magna Carta has been put back on display at Salisbury Cathedral on Monday, after an attempted theft last year.
Salisbury Cathedral invited media to preview the Magna Carta's new case, since the document has been removed from display for three months after the attack. Footage shows the holes created by multiple hammer blows to the old glass case.
The Salisbury Cathedral archivist, Emily Naish explained that somebody attacked the display case with a hammer. So, obviously, we couldn’t have the document on display, unless we had a secure case to put it in.
The glass in the case did exactly what we would have expected it to do. It didn’t shatter, the document itself was within a second case within the damaged case, and that was completely undamaged, she added.

Places to see in ( Marlborough - UK )
Places to see in ( Marlborough - UK )
Marlborough is a market town and civil parish in the English county of Wiltshire on the Old Bath Road, the old main road from London to Bath. Marlborough boasts the second widest high street in Britain, after Stockton-on-Tees.
The town of Marlborough is at the heart of the Church of England Marlborough deanery in the diocese of Salisbury in the province of Canterbury. The rural dean has responsibility for the benefices of Marlborough, Ridgeway, Upper Kennet and Whitton which in total comprise 16 parishes. Of the town's two Church of England parish churches, St Peter's has been made redundant and converted into an arts centre. St Mary's remains in use for worship.
Although once served by two railway lines (the Great Western Railway and the Midland and South Western Junction Railway) the town no longer has any direct rail access. The nearest stations are Pewsey (6.7 m.), Bedwyn (6.9 m.), and Swindon (12.7 m.). Marlborough is well connected by road with the A4 from Hungerford to Calne, A346 from Tidworth to Swindon and A345 from Salisbury meeting there.
Every summer the town of Marlborough holds a jazz festival with local pubs, clubs, hotels and various other venues playing host to live jazz music over the course of a weekend. The Marlborough mop fair was originally a hiring fair for agricultural workers seeking employment, but now has become a travelling funfair.
( Marlborough - UK ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting the city of Marlborough . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Marlborough - UK
