1834 New Echota - 2017
My personal journey this year of Indian culture and History,
in and around my State of Georgia.
I visit this Great place with you again to show more detail of how the Cherokee was treated badly. I do some voice overs and show some video / pictures. I kept the freshly pressed copy and framed it and now it proudly adorns my wall in my home.
Please like, subscribe, comment and most of all ENJOY.
Was my pleasure to show this to ALL.

Trail of Tears Stop #1: New Echota (Part 6)
Come along with my dad and I as we visit New Echota State Historic Site near Calhoun, Georgia, the site of the Cherokee Indians’ capitol back in the 1820’s. This is where the Treaty of New Echota was signed, which sold to the United States all Cherokee land east of the Mississippi River.
Let me know in the comments – what would you have done? Would you have sided with John Ross and fought tooth and nail to hold onto your land, or would you have realized like the Ridges and Boudinot did that the situation had come down to either saving the land or saving the people?

New Echota Historic Site
A two visit to New Echota, which was once the capital of the Cherokee Nation in the early 1800s. It's located in north Georgia and is worth taking a look if you like history or want to take a short walk in a nice setting.
Beginning of the Trail of Tears
It was 1993. We ventured into the outskirts of Calhoun, GA, to go to New Echota, the Cherokee town where Sequoya's Alphabet was printed to paper. This was the end of the Cherokee, as it was the beginning of the Trail of Tears. It was also the beginning of Erin and I's fascination with our Indian ancestors, who may or may not exist, and may or may not be Cherokee.

Come along with my dad and I as we visit New Echota State Historic Site near Calhoun, Georgia, the site of the Cherokee Indians’ capitol back in the 1820’s. In this installment, we visit the home of missionary Samuel Worchester, and I find an awesome multi-cache!!
