BRISBANE (Australia): New Farm Park, Riverwalk, Story Bridge, CityCat Ride
This video features scenery of Brisbane from New Farm Park, the Brisbane River and the Riverside district. I walked around New Farm Park and then along the Riverwalk pathway which is positioned above the Brisbane River. I then took a CityCat (boat service) from Riverside to Bulimba which is a suburb on the south side of the city.

New Farm Park is a public park located in the suburb of New Farm, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The park covers 15 hectares (37 acres) and is situated at the south-eastern end of the New Farm peninsula on a bend in the Brisbane River. The Powerhouse arts centre is located at the eastern end of the park.

Mùa Phượng tím hayJacaranda lãng mạn ở Brisbane (Australia).Trong khi khắp nơi chuẩn bị sang đông thì thời gian này Australia đang là mùa xuân. Khắp nơi tràn ngập sắc tím của phượng - loài hoa đặc trưng cho mùa xuân của xứ sở chuột túi. Tuy nhiên, phượng tím (Jacaranda) lại có nguồn gốc từ Nam Mỹ.Hoa phượng tím nở từ tháng 9 đến tháng 11 và thường được trồng nhiều ở ven đường hay trong các công viên khắp Australia. Trong đó, Brisbane được mệnh danh là thành phố hoa phượng tím. Đến đây, bạn dễ dàng bắt gặp những hàng phượng nhuộm màu cả một góc trời. khi không có hoa cây trông tương tự phượng vĩ, nhưng vào mùa nở hoa thì trổ nhiều hoa hơn. Hoa từng chùm màu tím, hình chuông, cánh hoa mềm mại, dễ bị dập nát, không hề giống hoa phượng. Mùa hoa nở kéo dài khá lâu, có thể đến 4–6 tháng. Cây này đã được du nhập vào Đà Lạt từ những năm đầu thập kỷ 1970, có thấy quanh hồ Xuân Hương vào đầu tháng 4.Trong công viên, vì không phải quét dọn mỗi ngày như trên đường phố, sau vài ngày hoa rụng trên mặt đất sẽ có một thảm hoa màu tím khá bắt mắt. Công viên New Farm có diện tích lớn hơn 15 hecta, gồm công viên, trung tâm văn hóa, sân chơi, khu chợ, những khu vườn lộng lẫy cùng rất nhiều không gian xanh, nơi du khách có thể dừng chân nghỉ ngơi và thư giãn. Mang theo một bữa ăn ngoài trời và tìm cho mình một chỗ thoải mái ven bờ sông hay dưới bóng mát. Lò nướng miễn phí đươc đặt ở khắp công viên, cũng như có vô vàn không gian cho bất kỳ ai đang tìm kiếm chỗ đi bộ và chơi đùa.Ghé thăm Công viên New Farm vào các ngày Thứ Bảy thứ hai hoặc thứ tư trong tháng để tham gia phiên chợ nhà nông thú vị diễn ra gần tòa nhà Powerhouse. Khu chợ bày bán các loại trái cây nhiệt đới, thịt tươi ngon, hoa và đồ thủ công.Mùa phượng tím cũng là lúc mùa đông chuyển sang hè nên thời tiết Brisbane rất dễ chịu và mát mẻ. Zach, our pet macaw free flies on most days. On weekends we take him into the city of Brisbane, to New Farm park where he gets to enjoy freedom. Often he will fly at will, to passing people and invade their personal space. He will land on them without invitation, Zach has not learned this is not welcome by most humans. I do get a laugh out of some reactions, and cringe for some others.
