Lancaster County is home to the second largest Amish settlement in the world. There are numerous ways there to learn more about the Amish lifestyle. Some of the unique Amish attractions in Lancaster offer a good place to start. You can tour Amish exhibits or homesteads. You can take tours through the back countryside past Amish farms. You can even take an Amish buggy ride and learn about their way of life from inside a carriage driven by an Amishman. In the Amish Country of Lancaster County, you can get away from the fast-paced urban lifestyle and find a more relaxed, slower-paced atmosphere. That’s one of the reasons this area is such a popular vacation and weekend getaway. The change of pace and slower way of living found along back country roads can be very relaxing. You can even tour local farms while you are there.
Pennsylvania Dutch Country refers to an area of southeastern Pennsylvania, United States that by the American Revolution had a high percentage of Pennsylvania Dutch inhabitants. Geographically the area referred to as Amish/Dutch country centers on the cities of Allentown, Hershey, Lancaster, Reading, and York.

New Owners of the Woolverton Inn
Over 30 years ago when Mario and Mary Passalacqua were newly married, they lived in upstate New York, young and graduates from Tufts University (COLLEGE SWEETHEARTS) - on weekends would visit charming towns around the Finger Lakes and explored the quaintness of staying at Inn’s to explore the area. They loved reading the Country Inn guidebooks to find places to stay near their destinations and knew one day that this would in some way be a passion or a maybe even a profession
Cuttalossa Farm Lumberville, Pennsylvania
The beautiful Cuttalossa Farm is probably the most photographed place in all of Bucks County, PA. Between the years 1752 - 1873 there were 6 mills located along the Cuttalossa Creek: 1 grist, saw and plaster Mill; 1 saw, rake and handle mill, 1 bone grinding and fertilizer mill; 1 floor board, sash & door mill, 1 grist mill, and 1 saw mill. The entire complex is a fine example of what Bucks County looked like at one time.
The farm was originally home to Daniel Garber, a renowned Pennsylvania impressionist. Garber was famous for his landscapes featuring the woods and quarries of Bucks County. From 1909 to 1950 he was an instructor at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Garber's paintings are represented in the collections of many museums across the United States, such as the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC; the Art Institute of Chicago; and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Daniel Garber passed away in 1958 but his farm is still standing and is now part of a National Historical District. He had brought sheep to Cuttalossa Farm to keep the hills clear of poison ivy. The current owners still breed and sell sheep.

Making Wine Sales More Convenient in Central PA
House Speaker Mike Turzai makes comments about Central Pennsylvania's first step toward wine privatization at the Wegmans store in Mechanicsburg.
Sevilen Vineyards & Wineries
In 1942, after having discovered vineyards and winemaking in France, Mr. Isa Guner, a first-generation immigrant from Bulgaria, founded his own winery in Izmir, Turkey. Understanding that there was outstanding natural potential in Turkey for wine production, he purchased 4 hectares and started planting vineyards. In 1958, Mr. Guner's sons, Mr. Gokhan Guner and Mr. Coskun Guner joined the business developing the property to 50 hectares. Nowadays the property, composed of 160 hectares of vineyard and a first class restaurant (Isabey), is managed by the third generation of the Guner family. They are assisted by experienced French consultant Mr. Florent Dumeau from the Bordeaux region. Sevilen Group has been working on the terroir approach (Soil, local climate and vineyard architecture, rootstock, varietal, vine spacing, leaf area per hectare, crop per vine) with already outstanding results.
Today, Sevilen produces grapes for premium wines on two sites:
• Aegean area, around Izmir, a warm Mediterranean climate
• Anatolia plateau, a cool Mediterranean climate
In Izmir (150 metres of elevation) climate conditions are close to those of Bari or Athens. In the Anatolian plateau (900 metres of elevation), climate conditions are similar to the Rhône valley (Hermitage, Chateauneuf du Pape) but drier during the summer. On both sites, soils are unique with a complex distribution, alternation of chalk and shale (heavy clay) and occurrence of limestone.
This diversity of soil and climate allows the production of very qualitative white and red wine always presenting a unique expression. After having totally restructured part of his vineyard, plus adding new plantations, Sevilen Group now produces ten million bottles/ year of qualitative wines.
Winemaking techniques are very modern. With a full brand new reception (double sorting table), the pre-fermentative process respects the integrity of the grapes, which are all hand-harvested. Working with gravity, juices and wines are moved as carefully as possible throughout the aging process. A selection of top French cooperage, in association with a Turkish university, has been developed in order to research the best solutions for our wines.
Now Sevilen exporting to United Kingdom , United States , People Republic of China , Denmark , Germany, Holland, Austria , Australia, Dubai, Belgium, Sweden ...

Mission Dolores & Basilica Part 3 Amazing Tour Of San Francisco's Oldest Cemetery
Mission Dolores contains the oldest city cemetery in all of San Francisco with interments of many early California Pioneers and clergy members of this parish. At one time the cemetery contained thousands of burials still city expansion projects such as businesses and houses removed most of the graves to make way to the metropolis it is today. Some of the remains were moved to other cemeteries others were put into mass graves. The cemetery was also reduced when the Basilica decided to construct a school and playground which makes this location all the more gloomy. Today what is left can of this burial ground can be enjoyed with many old grave sites and beautiful lush gardens containing plants found here in the 1700s when the Spaniards arrived!
