Drama As Basingstoke Pub Evacuated After Bomb Hoax
Police officers descended on a Basingstoke pub after a bomb hoax on Sunday. Dramatic events ensued as police searched the watering hole.
The Poppinjay pub in Popley was evacuated while a full search was carried out. Investigations are ongoing.

Flames engulfed Fleet services on the M3, near Basingstoke, Hampshire, after a blaze started.
A massive fire broke out at a motorway service station last night.
Flames engulfed Fleet services on the M3, near Basingstoke, Hampshire, after a blaze started in one of the restaurants at around 10.30pm.
More than 50 firefighters were called to the scene as smoke billowed across the motorway in what was described as a 'major incident'.
The fire was brought under control in the early hours of Thursday but part of the service station and nearby motorway remain closed this morning.
Pictures from the scene showed smoke billowing across the motorway as the fire burned and Hampshire Police were forced to close the road.
A total of eight appliances from Hampshire Fire and Rescue and Surrey Fire and Rescue were called to the scene.
Later the Hampshire Force confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries caused by the blaze.
One eyewitness who saw the blaze spread said the fire was unlike anything he had ever seen,
He told Get Hampshire: 'Everyone had been evacuated safely. The flames spread very quickly.
'I have never seen anything like it.'
A fire service spokesman said: 'It started in one of the restaurants in the services and it spread from there, but we have stopped it from spreading throughout the whole building.
Fleet Service Station is one of the larger facilities on the M3 and is owned by Welcome Break.
Among the restaurants there are KFC, Burger King, Harry Ramsdens and Starbucks.
The M3 motorway links the Surrey with the south coast of England via Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton.
