At Luzhou District''s Yonglian Temple, she came across Chen Hung-chang, a member of the opposition Kuomintang who heads the temple''s committee. The quietest subway ride I've ever been on
On the ride from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei Main Station the subway ride was so quiet, it was eerie. The train wasn't packed like rush hour but there were still a fair number of people on it and with this number of people, I would have expected to hear SOME chatter!
Searching For Fireflies at Tonghua Park | TUCHENG DISTRICT, TAIWAN
We went to Tucheng Park to find the some cherry blossoms and to spot some fireflies. There were quite a few, but not as many as expected. We believe it's due to the mass amount of people around. Try going when it's not too busy.

Banchiao (板橋市), Chinese New Year - 2013
Banchiao (Banqiao) District is the city seat of New Taipei in northern Taiwan (Republic of China). It has the third highest population density in Taiwan. It was formerly the 22nd densest city in the world,[1] with over 24,000 people per square km. Until the December 25, 2010 creation of New Taipei, Banchiao was itself a city (Bǎnchiáo Shì; Pang-kiô Chhī; Postal map spelling: Panchiao) and the former seat of Taipei County.
Banchiao is located in western part of the Taipei Basin of northern Taiwan, in the subtropical climate zone.
Banchiao is surrounded by Taipei to the east, Sanchong to the north, Xinzhuang to the northwest, Shulin to the southwest, Tucheng to the south, and Zhonghe to the southeast. Banchiao is also bordered by two rivers, Xindian River (新店溪) to the northeast and Dahan River (大漢溪) to the northwest.

New Taipei today launched one-stop service stations to help immigrants settle in to the city. People with questions can simply go to any of the Household Registration Offices in New Taipei to get information on welfare, employment and language courses, among other things.Most of Taiwan’s new residents live in New Taipei City. To make their lives a little easier, the local government has launched one-stop service stations for them. Starting today, any inquiries can be handled in one go at Household Registration Offices.For example, Mrs. You, who married into a Taiwanese family five years ago, has recently been looking for a job. She can now direct her queries to her local Household Registration Office and the attendant will transfer the information to the relevant departments. With the scan of a QR code, Mrs. You can track the progress of her query.Mrs. YouNew residentCurrently we are still taking care of the kids. In this way it saves us a lot of time.Ms. ChenNew residentYou can scan the QR code to know how long it will be. Especially,I think that Yeliu Geo Park is v very good scenic place.
Longshan Temple,Yeliu Geological Park,night market,Tarroko Gorge and ethnic minority Traditional dance etc are much better.
