Garybaldi - 01 - Sulla strada
“Storie di un’altra città” (Stories from another city) comes sixteen years after the previous album “La ragione e il torto” and, thanks to a fresh, fluid and inspired songwriting, gives new vitality to a fundamental band of the early ’70s Italian rock. It’s difficult to quote a song rather than another, because we are in the presence of a very diverse rock record, where each piece has a strong personality. Guitars and keyboards are dominating, two instruments that project the album towards the future rather than looking wistfully at the past: the result is surprisingly addictive and amazing!
The work is completed by the beautiful illustrations painted by the artist Pietro Spica. There are also two very special guests, respectively in the songs “Vicino in un momento” and “William Fix”: guitarist Bambi Fossati – sadly missed in 2014 – and David Jackson (Van Der Graaf Generator) on sax and flute.

AntifaPosterArt Ancona
AntifaPosterArt International Call Ancona
The mixed-population districts of Ancona launch a call: we want to paint our streets, we want to tell anti-fascism with the eyes of artists!
Our streets are crossroads among different cultures and social conflicts, they are covered every day many different people, bearing stories of incredible journeys. Every day we are all on the same streets of this city, where stories interweave and give birth to something new and unique.
There are those who would like to criminalise this new community, they are the new fascists.
From the streets and on the streets, we want to answer them giving to our walls soul, colour and vitality, erasing the grey of our times, welcoming posters that talk about anti-fascism and anti-racism.

This CD crowns an artistic activity that has been lasting for more than forty years. Our music, still today, is fed by a passionate ethnographic research effected on the mountains of the Appenni- no Tosco-Emiliano but mostly by our love for this territory we deeply feel to belong to. This last project collects some traditional oral songs together with otherones composed by ourselves but always belonging to the same culture, the same area and the same people who represent the memory of these places, a memory that is not a fading remembrance but a lively and crea- tive actuality. This cultural and musical patrimony, by many years now, merges the vitality and the vocal color with the sound migrations of the elegant arrangements by Giorgio Albiani; it is in this synthesis that the constant process of reworking traditional music develops, reaffirming its value in the contemporaneity.
This work wants also to represent a contribution to protect the dialects of Appennino Tosco Emiliano, which are the authentic linguistic soul of the ancient history of these places. We wish to dedicate our songs to all those people who believe in the importance of reminding their own roots and traditions also through music and songs which, in the popular culture, mean rather a way of living than a mere artistic expression (Gabriele Chiodi).

You Bet Your Life: Secret Word - Light / Clock / Smile
Julius Henry Groucho Marx (October 2, 1890 -- August 19, 1977) was an American comedian and film and television star. He is known as a master of quick wit and widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. His rapid-fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo-laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators. He made 13 feature films with his siblings the Marx Brothers, of whom he was the third-born. He also had a successful solo career, most notably as the host of the radio and television game show You Bet Your Life. His distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, included quirks such as an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. These exaggerated features resulted in the creation of one of the world's most ubiquitous and recognizable novelty disguises, known as Groucho glasses, a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
Groucho Marx was, and is, the most recognizable and well-known of the Marx Brothers. Groucho-like characters and references have appeared in popular culture both during and after his life, some aimed at audiences who may never have seen a Marx Brothers movie. Groucho's trademark eye glasses, nose, mustache, and cigar have become icons of comedy—glasses with fake noses and mustaches (referred to as Groucho glasses, nose-glasses, and other names) are sold by novelty and costume shops around the world.
Nat Perrin, close friend of Groucho Marx and writer of several Marx Brothers films, inspired John Astin's portrayal of Gomez Addams on the 1960s TV series The Addams Family with similarly thick mustache, eyebrows, sardonic remarks, backward logic, and ever-present cigar (pulled from his breast pocket already lit).
Alan Alda often vamped in the manner of Groucho on M*A*S*H. In one episode, Yankee Doodle Doctor, Hawkeye and Trapper put on a Marx Brothers act at the 4077, with Hawkeye playing Groucho and Trapper playing Harpo. In three other episodes, a character appeared who was named Captain Calvin Spalding (played by Loudon Wainwright III). Groucho's character in Animal Crackers was Captain Geoffrey T. Spaulding.
On many occasions, on the 1970s television sitcom All In The Family, Michael Stivic (Rob Reiner), would briefly imitate Groucho Marx and his mannerisms.
Two albums by British rock band Queen, A Night at the Opera (1975) and A Day at the Races (1976), are named after Marx Brothers films. In March 1977, Groucho invited Queen to visit him in his Los Angeles home; there they performed '39 a capella. A long-running ad campaign for Vlasic Pickles features an animated stork that imitates Groucho's mannerisms and voice. On the famous Hollywood Sign in California, one of the Os is dedicated to Groucho. Alice Cooper contributed over $27,000 to remodel the sign, in memory of his friend.
In 1982, Gabe Kaplan portrayed Marx in the film Groucho, in a one-man stage production. He also imitated Marx occasionally on his previous TV sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
Actor Frank Ferrante has performed as Groucho Marx on stage for more than two decades. He continues to tour under rights granted by the Marx family in a one-man show entitled An Evening With Groucho in theaters throughout the United States and Canada with piano accompanist Jim Furmston. In the late 1980s Ferrante starred as Groucho in the off-Broadway and London show Groucho: A Life in Revue penned by Groucho's son Arthur. Ferrante portrayed the comedian from age 15 to 85. The show was later filmed for PBS in 2001. Woody Allen's 1996 musical Everyone Says I Love You, in addition to being named for one of Groucho's signature songs, ends with a Groucho-themed New Year's Eve party in Paris, which some of the stars, including Allen and Goldie Hawn, attend in full Groucho costume. The highlight of the scene is an ensemble song-and-dance performance of Hooray for Captain Spaulding—done entirely in French.
In the last of the Tintin comics, Tintin and the Picaros, a balloon shaped like the face of Groucho could be seen in the Annual Carnival.
In the Italian horror comic Dylan Dog, the protagonist's sidekick is a Groucho impersonator whose character became his permanent personality.
The BBC remade the radio sitcom Flywheel, Shyster and Flywheel, with contemporary actors playing the parts of the original cast. The series was repeated on digital radio station BBC7. Scottish playwright Louise Oliver wrote a play named Waiting For Groucho about Chico and Harpo waiting for Groucho to turn up for the filming of their last project together. This was performed by Glasgow theatre company Rhymes with Purple Productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and in Glasgow and Hamilton in 2007-08. Groucho was played by Scottish actor Frodo McDaniel.
Hubble - 15 years of discovery
ESA’s anniversary DVD film “Hubble - 15 years of discovery” covers all aspects of the Hubble Space Telescope project – a journey through the history, the troubled early life and the ultimate scientific successes of Hubble. This portrait, directed by Lars Lindberg Christensen, contains large amounts of previously unpublished footage of superb quality. With more than 500,000 copies distributed, this DVD movie is probably the most widely available science documentary ever.
Hubble's spectacular visual images make a stunning backdrop throughout the film, bringing an immediacy and vitality as the narrative reveals the new insights Hubble has inspired in all fields of astronomy from exoplanets to black holes. Complex though the science behind the telescope’s images often is, Art Director Martin Kornmesser has developed a unique style of elaborate 3D animation that enhances and vividly clarifies the underlying science.
The movie is presented by an ESA scientist, Dr. Robert (Bob) Fosbury, who has himself used Hubble for his own research on many occasions.

I 13 Migliori Lavori da Fare in Italia (e non solo!) anche Senza LAUREA per Guadagnare Soldi! ???? ????
Stai Imparando l'ITALIANO?

1) Dare ripetizioni

DURATA: 94 Min
Through archival footage and contemporary interviews, this film traces the origins of the classic Neapolitan song.

T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land documentary (1987)
Read by noted actors Michael Gough, Edward Fox, and Eileen Atkins, T. S. Eliot’s The Waste Land powerfully expresses the disillusionment and disgust of the post–World War I era in Europe. In this program, Professor Frank Kermode, of Cambridge University; Eliot biographer Peter Ackroyd; and poets Sir Stephen Spender and Craig Raine examine the complex nature of Eliot’s influential poem, analyze its appeal, and trace the reasons why it became one of the best-known emblems of the 20th century.

J. Krishnamurti - Ojai 1984 - Public Talk 2 - What is wrong with pleasure?
Summary:
What is order?
Learning implies a constant movement, observation without a motive.
Why have I sought pleasure all my life? What is wrong with pleasure?
Can fear ever end or must it be the burden of humanity everlastingly?
Is your brain passionate enough to find out?
What is going to happen to the brain when the computer can do almost everything?
How can I stop the movement of time and thought? Is that the right question?

The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
