The new Westfield Newmarket is one-stop hub for shopping, fun & relaxation. Black Friday sales on 29th of November attracted many people.

Westfield Newmarket is a large enclosed shopping centre in Auckland, New Zealand, that re-opened on 29 August 2019 after being closed for 18 months for a major rebuild and expansion. The re-opening consisted of a first stage opening of 40 stores, with the rest to open by the end of 2019.[1]
The centre is located at 277 Broadway and 309 Broadway, in the suburb of Newmarket.
Black Friday sales keep getting bigger and better each year and the day falls at just the right time in the calendar for Kiwi shoppers. It's the perfect time to get in early with some Christmas shopping and stock up everything you'll need for a great summer.

Shopping in Auckland New Zealand
Together with our mate Johnson, we present you the ultimate shopping guide for Auckland.
Auckland has been stepping up its shopping scene especially in the last few years. In this episode we run you through some of the main shopping areas that you should check out especially if you're into high end fashion or streetwear clothing. More and more international brands are making their way into the New Zealand's shopping market but there are also a bunch of great local NZ fashion labels too.
We cover downtown central city shopping around High Street, Vulcan Lane, Queen Street and Britomart visiting stores such as LOADED, ascolour, Edit, Shakes, Checks, Trainers, Working Style and the Duty Free Store (DFS) Galleria.
Next we stopped off briefly in Ponsonby where you'll find Commoners and Workshop - both NZ fashion brands.
After that we head over to Newmarket which is another great shopping area in Auckland. There are 3 main streets/areas here:
- Broadway
- Nuffield Street
- Teed Street
Be sure to visit I Love Ugly if you're looking for a quality NZ menswear brand. They make some cool men's streetwear clothing and accessories here.
Our final destination was Sylvia Park - New Zealand's biggest shopping mall. You'll find everything you normally would in the all the Westfield malls here plus so much more like fast fashion brands Zara and H&M.

Thu 21 Nov 2019 is the second? stage opening of the Westfield Newmarket mall in Auckland, New Zealand. The new stores that opened are David Jones, Countdown, Mecca Maxima, Country Road, Witchery, Trenery, Veronica Maine etc.
The Westfield Newmarket is made up of two buildings connected by a footbridge over the 'Mortimer Pass' road. When I mentioned the 'main' building I was referring to the building which houses the Countdown and David Jones stores etc, while the other building houses Farmers and H&M stores etc.
Timeline for quick reference:
08:32 walk bridge going to the Farmers / H&M building.
21:15 walk bridge going back to the Countdown / David Jones building.
23:34 arrived in front of the Mecca store.

VLOG - Who is this singer at Westfield Newmarket, Auckland level 1 ?
I came across this lovely singer, singing at the entrance of the Westfield Newmarket mall, Auckland, New Zealand. This is the David Jones/Countdown building. Sun 24 Nov 2019.
I was the only one watching him, standing/filming about two metres away.
