Newport
Newport Beach (Northern Beaches Sydney) sunrise trip. Set out to capture a sunrise early in the year of 2016, woke up at 3.30am and started the drive with Narikki. Set up a time-lapse with the FUJI X-E2 facing the pool and a time-lapse with the Go Pro Hero 4 to capture behind the scenes of us taking photos. The 5D3 was used to do singular photos and the GH4 was used to capture some awesome 4K footage for this vlog.

Humpback Whale washes up dead on Newport Beach, Sydney, Australia
Authorities are hoping the tides which brought the carcass of an 11.6 metre humpback whale ashore overnight at Newport, 01/08, will help remove it this evening.
Pittwater Council crews have removed steel safety barriers and chains from around the ocean pool to make it easier for the tide to drag the 30 tonne carcass out to sea.
National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) Metro North East Acting manager Peter Hay said the sub-adult male had died at sea before washing ashore.
The challenge facing ourselves and Pittwater Council is how to safely remove the carcass, which may take some days, Mr Hay said.
The most likely option may be removing it by land, this will require the tide and seas to relocate the whale to a more accessible area overnight to enable heavy machinery and safe access tomorrow .
Given the high seas running at the moment the option of attaching a line and towing it out to sea where nature will deal with it is unlikely at this stage, he said.
We have not been able to determine the cause of death although there were no signs of boat strike of entanglement.
Unfortunate as it is for this individual it is not unusual for humpbacks to be found stranded like this.
With an increasing population of whales we would expect there will be an corresponding increase in those that don't make the arduous 5000 kilometre journey which may simply be the weaker members succumbing, he said.
Normally it all happens at sea and it is only a combination of tides, current and wind that on occasion brings the carcass ashore like we have seen today.
With more 1000 people estimated to have visited Newport ocean pool today demonstrates just how interest people are in whales, Mr Hay said.
This has been a team effort with ORCCA volunteers, Pittwater Council, NSW Police and NPWS staff contributing to resolving this issue -- the level of public cooperation has been great
Everyone is reminded to stay out of the water, as Life Guards have closed the beach and the public are also reminded to stay behind barriers for their own safety.

Manly City Centre - Manly NSW - Sydney Australia
Manly is a beach-side suburb of northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 17 kilometres (11 mi) north-east of the Sydney central business district. Manly has a long-standing reputation as a tourist destination, owing to its attractive setting on the Pacific Ocean and easy accessibility by ferry.
Manly is most notable for its beaches which are popular tourist destinations. Manly features a long stretch of sand on the ocean side, that runs from Queenscliff through North Steyne to South Steyne . This is followed by rock pools and sandy beaches called Fairy Bower and Shelly Beach. There are also a number of beaches on the harbour side of the peninsula. Norfolk Island pine trees are symbolic of Manly and are a prominent feature of both the ocean and harbour beaches.
The commercial Manly is centred around The Corso, which runs from the harbour side at Manly wharf to the ocean side at Manly Beach. Part of The Corso is a mall which allows outdoor dining for cafes and restaurants. The commercial area extends to surrounding streets with more cafes and restaurants concentrated along the ocean and harbour shores.
The Corso is one of the main streets and a pedestrian mall in Manly. It connects the Manly ferry wharf to Manly Beach on the Pacific Ocean side of the Manly peninsula.
Transport services to Manly include a ferry service from Manly wharf and State Transit bus services to the city and other suburbs. The Manly Ferry journey takes 30 minutes and allows for scenic views of Sydney Harbour, surrounding national parks and Sydney icons including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Manly has Sydney Harbour on its western side with calm water, ferry wharf, a swimming area, the Oceanworld Manly aquarium and sailing and yacht clubs. About 300 metres (1,000 ft) to the east is the Pacific Ocean and Manly Beach. There are more than 20 kilometres (12 mi) of cycle tracks that can be used to explore the area.
