EURYDICE
by Sarah Ruhl
Acclaimed playwright Sarah Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus from the female perspective. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and breathtaking visual effects, this play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.

URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL
Music and Lyrics by Mark Hollmann
Book and Lyrics by Greg Kotis
May 25-June 25, 2017
Written in 2001, this musical comedy presents an utterly ridiculous and far-fetched vision of America in the future. A future in which the world has been turned completely upside down. Environmental catastrophes have destroyed our natural resources. Police authority goes unchecked and has become rife with corruption. And most absurdly, a greedy and corrupt businessman has taken control of the government and is implementing outlandishly oppressive laws and taxes to benefit the rich and devastate the working class. That is until an unlikely hero rises from amongst the people to champion that most fundamental of our human rights...the right to go to the bathroom for free!

NextStop Theatre in Herndon, Virginia Presents:
Bad Jews
by Joshua Harmon
May 24-June 17, 2018
An equally hilarious and savage look at how sometimes family can be our greatest adversary and faith our most powerful weapon against them.
The night after their grandfather’s funeral, three cousins engage in a knock-down, drag-out war over a precious family heirloom that was protected through the Holocaust. In one corner is the volatile and self-righteous “Super Jew” Daphna Feygenbaum. In the other is her entitled and proudly-secular cousin Liam, with his “shiksa” girlfriend Melody in tow. Caught in the middle is Liam’s brother, Jonah, who wants nothing more than to be left out of it. Bad Jews provides an irreverent take on faith in modern America.
